His attitude on the sideline is always negative towards the players.  Never seems happy or motivational like Groce.

So Bob Knight should have been fired 20 years earlier at Indiana?

Everyone has a different approach. I doubt our view from the stands tells us how best to handle the players.

Such a Jekyll and Hyde season, other than Winthrop and maybe Robert Morris we beat every team we should have with our talent.  Thus why we had a 20+ win season and were able to get a share of the regular season title, with some help from Akron of course.  But every game where we played a quality opponent we couldn't put together a complete game.  With bad defense (too many players had their season high game against us) and cold shooting from our players.  Then the question becomes do you blame it on the coach, the players, bad luck or a combination of the three.  There is so much to be thankful for and to enjoy from this team and especially the Seniors.  But it is extremely frustrating aside from Reggie that our go to guys could not consistently preform their best against quality competition.

It is kind of funny how absolutely crazy this team made us feel the previous three years with their inconsistent play, but we could at least count on them to play up to the competition.  Yet somehow this year we got the consistent play we always wanted, except when it came to times when we needed to play up to the competition.   Which has turned BA into a nuthouse more than usual with people willing to accept this year's faults due to the total accomplishments of the past 4 years and those who can't get over what we all thought would be a magical 4th year.  You can blame Christian, you can blame Groce for leaving one year early, you can blame the players for not stepping up to the challenge this year.  In the end everyone will have their own opinion, but remember this one thing, thank god we aren't Miami.
