I don't know but I'm disgusted. Hope he's okay but absolutely mind boggling why Coach Christian had him in a 33-point game with only six minutes left in the second half!

Umm..they could have pulled someone from the OZONE and been OK for the last 6 minutes. The season just came to a crashing halt if NDOUR is done. This one is on Christian. You don't have your best player on the floor up 33 with 6 minutes to go. #EndOfStory

Come on guys, give the coach a break. This is a new team that needs playing time together. At least that's my opinion.

Let's not go "monday morning QB" up in here.  You have to believe that he was getting ready to make the change - very unfortunate if he's hurt as badly as we fear.

no, this one is on your whining. Ndour is new to the team, new to D1, and needs playing time. Wadley and Campbell shouldn't be playing the final 8 minutes of the game, regardless the score, Setty was in foul trouble. This team needs to experience getting a big lead and holding it, its something they couldn't do last year.

There's every reason why Ndour was in the game and only hindsight justifies the complaining

You guys are jokes.

Guys need their minutes and hindsight is 20/20. I sure hope Ndour is ok, but pointing fingers at Christian isn't going to make me feel any better, regardless.

Hindsight is 20-20. I don't remember anyone calling for him to come out before the injury.

Hope the injury is not serious.

Christian was just on the post game show. He said it appears he re-tweaked a previous ankle injury but they will know more in the coming days.

And I agree, looking back it's easy to say he should have been out. My guess is they were coming out at the under 4.  At least we have a week off to rest up and get everyone, not just Maurice healthy.

Why play any of our starters prior to MAC season?  Too many risks in preseason.  We should field all walk-ons in November and December.  [/sarcasm]

Tough break but the team is still trying to get used to each other.

Jon Smith dislocated his finger... Had to have Mo in...it's an ankle injury so it's not the dreaded knee issue.

Hopefully it's not serious but it might be good timing with the Cats only playing two games in the next 14 days (Oakland & Alabama A&M).   Can get Tony Campbell and Wadley Montpremier some much needed work.  Speaking of Wadley, he surprised me with a nice quick move to the hoop late in the game. Showed a lot more speed than I was expecting.   Missed the shot but I was encouraged by the foot speed.

Not sure what the exact time was but find coaches in general are very slow to pull the trigger on sitting players, especially with a team like Evansville that can get a run going.  In all my years asking them about clearing the bench and getting young guys some run they ask seem to be pretty conservative even with a seemingly insurmountable lead

I think if you present this situation to a group of coaches at a work shop,  most if not all would have the same line up as jc.

Jon Smith had just gone out with a dislocated finger and tony Campbell was already in. It sounds like its just a sprain and we have a week off so everybody calm themselves.

You guys are right. I reacted too early and coach has valid reasons for keeping him in the game.

It's just the fact that the result of the contest was not in question and he had an injury prior to the game that has me wondering why he was still in the game?

There is no right or wrong. It's an opinion. Some may think you should pull starters regardless in a 33-point game in the second half. Others have solid points about gaining chemistry/experience while having a limited bench.

Let's just hope Ndour is okay and good to go moving forward.

I would prefer to see our two freshman bigs Campbell and Mompremier in during a situation like this.

Hopefully he is OK.

This team can win games without NDour but i think he takes this team to the next level.

Agree that most coaches would've done this..and no one was yelling for him to come out.  Injuries/stuff happens.

Redshirts burned for Wadley and Campbell at this point?

It's tough deciding when to take a player out of a game, especially when you have a guy or two banged up.  I'm guessing he would've had Ndour out in another minute or so.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ndour doesn't play at Oakland since he practiced only one day this week because of the ankle.  Reinjuries can be worse than the original, and we need him for the MAC season.

I missed this. When did it happen? Was it a re-tweak of existing injury?

It happed with a little more than 6 minutes to go in the game.  It looked pretty bad but it sounds like he just re-twisted his ankle which I didn't realize was bothering him to begin with.  I had heard something about his back being sore a week ago but nothing about the ankle.

Yeah, once you play in a real game that's pretty much it unless you get injured and you're going for an injury redshirt... then the rules are a little more lax.
