Agree on many of your points. However, with hustle from Hadaway and Clayton down the stretch was fun.

Forgive me if this is somewhere on the board already, but I have to ask, what is up with the audio for Ohio games on espn+? Have to crank the volume just to barely hear the game, and then a commercial comes on and about blows the speakers. I haven't noticed this for other espn+ games that aren't Ohio.
A problem that's been going on ten years or more. Funny, it's not an issue when an ESPN cable channel or CBSSN shows up; it's there only for ESPN+ games produced by Ohio. And it doesn't happen with games from Peden. It's only in broadcasts from he Convo. You'd think that with all the broadcast engineers and other technical types on campus they'd figure it out and spend a few bucks to fix it. But no, it happens year after year, no matter who's in charge. A sad representation for the school.

No it's a regular issue at peden too, but there was some improvement this season

Just watched the second half on the ESPN app. I’m not sure what others see but I am beginning to like the potential for this team. For one they don’t seem to quit. And the overall skill level is good. We have 3 guards right now who can really get to the basket and it can only get better when Miles Brown returns. Also our inside game is better than I expected. Clayton has really improved and Hadaway has matured as well. . If AJ Brown can grow into his potential, we could do well in the MAC even without a legitimate center ( Wiz may never be a major factor),

I was a Wiz optimist heading into this year but not anymore. Seems like a good, fun dude but our ultimate success will rely on if Clayton and Hadaway can be our bigs. We are Myles Foster away from dominating this league and couldn't make it happen. Darn NIL.

There’s so much potential to this team. The FT’s are just brutal and I thought we’d be a better 3PT team. Yesterday’s win in spite them shows a lot about the grit we have. I just hope FT’s don’t cost us come MAC tourney time.

Wiz is Wiz at this point. He’ll have some contributions one game and have us frustrated the next. Count me as someone who wants to see more of Hadaway with those minutes. He’s earned them.

Nonetheless, it’s such a fun group to watch. Wednesday against YSU is going to be a tough one.

+1, I’ll also add Isaiah Carr (Grand Canyon kid who visited. would have been a fantastic add as well. He’s averaging 6ppg, 6rpg, and almost 3bpg off the bench for Denver. The latter is inflated by a 10 block game against college of Colorado, but he’s contributing in ways that would complete this team.

Drives me bonkers as well. I've noticed it on a number of other games but almost always OUrs. If this were traditional cable or network TV, it would be illegal. Technical difficulties aside, there is a law against commercials being louder than regular programming for them. It hasn't caught up to streaming services yet as far as I'm aware.

I think there has to be a solution which involves a hardware or software compressor to run the audio through. However, I only seem to think about it while the game is on, and I can't be bothered to dig into then!

No, kidding about Espn+. I remember when I first got it . It was $4.99 a few years ago. I have yet to watch a game this year, as I've been to home games.. from what I gathered, I thought "the home team" was supposed to get enough $ to cover games. The cameras in press row were once again impressive. But there was some random kid with an ESPN mic doing absolutely nothing. I was on the floor. Hopefully these can be fixed. The next two home games are very intrical! YSU, Farshall... I want 8,000 in the Convo for that game!

sure hope the guys are in the gym today, practicing free throws. shooting only 68% will eventually cost Ohio a win or two.

I guess I don’t get all of the disdain directed at him and including yesterday as some form of verification that he is not improving. He played 10 minutes, had two points, three rebounds, no turnovers and no personal fouls. Not that bad when you relate the numbers and account for others receiving much more playing time. I thought he was aggressive when he took the ball to the basket when he had the opportunity even though it was blocked. And, by the way, I really like Hardaway and definitely think Clayton is taking it to another level this year.

It's the inconsistencies of the FT shooting. There have been games this season when Ohio has hit 27 of 32 from the line or 11 of 12. Then you have games like yesterday when they shoot under 50% on 21 attempts. We were fortunate to sneak away with a win. We won't always be so lucky.

It's getting to the point every time AJ gets knocked to the floor that you wonder if he'll get up not holding something. You never get that feeling with Elmore. I really want to know if he was benched in the second half or it was was injury related. If he was benched, you have to give credit to the staff for sending a message because AJ has been on the struggle bus. And 8-20 from the foul-line is ridiculous. But as documented, the the whole team has been terrible from the charity stripe and it makes no sense. Can you imagine this team if Brown just plays average???

Hadaway getting more minutes I'm all for. Like I've been saying for two years, we are better off going smaller than having The Whiz on the floor. And it's not like Hadaway is 6-5. He has length and he's a menace on the court...captain chaos. If he can just control himself a tad more and show touch around the rim his game goes to another level.

Clayton continues to impress. His defense has been fantastic and he's been the biggest surprise to me. He continues to be the MVP of the team.

Big two games ahead. Wednesday is going to be a very tough test

Agree totally with you. Most of the negative posts are from guys who expected nothing from him heading into the year. Based on minutes played, year to date, his numbers are decent. I won't call out any others, as I'm sure they are trying their best. But numbers don't lie. Wiz is 3rd best in FG percentage. And some guys need to work on BOTH FT's and 3's.

Fearleon and others wondering about AJB. I was at the Detroit game, 5 rows behind the bench. When AJ fell during that game and came off the court, his shoulder didn't look quite right. He had his arm hanging down and was trying not to move it much. My niece was there with me and we both thought that it was dislocated. before he went into the tunnel to get it looked at, he moved his arm and winced in obvious pain and it looked like it popped back in place. Now I am no Dr. and could be totally wrong with my observation and thoughts about what we saw. But, if that is the case, I can see that as being a reason for not playing well. At the last game, he tried to make a go of it by wearing what looked like a soft support brace. When he got knocked down he hit his shoulder again. I love watching him play but would rather they sit him then to chance getting him hurt worse. i trust the coaches and Drs. to do the right thing for him.

Control himself like not talking smack with the Belmont crowd after hitting his first 3 attempt as a college frosh in the season opener last year? Or control himself like not putting his hand down around his knees after scoring inside Saturday against Delaware, indicating his defender is too short to defend him?

Asking for a friend.

Sounds like deja vu of the Mike Laster shoulder injury that hindered him for an entire year.
