Not a surprise you didn't quote or respond to anything having to do with Cornish. But apologies for expressing skepticism about a wing who shot .187 from three in 100 minutes, logged zero assists, and is one of 3 guys trying to battle for what's likely to be ~8 minutes a game.

Dude, Cornish has taken five 3PT attempts this season and you’re going to cherry pick that he basically sucks from 3PT range and he can’t contribute immediately? All in a game where no one is was hitting a 3. He was 3-3 at the line, had a beautiful slash the basket for a three-point play with 12 points overall. Grabbed 4 rebounds and even had a block when he saw an uptick in minutes.

Yea I think we need to let this one play out more.
I was referencing his shooting numbers across his 100 minutes at Maryland, and his 5 attempts so far this year. If you read his scouting report out of high school, shooting wasn't a strength and it's an area cited as one he'd need to work on.

So I'm not just looking at 5 shots and cherry picking. Trying to project what he is and where he fits based on what we know about his game from a small sample.

Because it's not worth the mockery.

He didn't play at Maryland. Period. He took TWENTY EIGHT shots. He went in for mop-up duty when games were out of reach. That's why he left. For a chance to play. It's hard to believe he wasn't draining threes and racking up assists left and right while teams were dribbling out the clock. Stunning even.

LOL Pure clownery.

Preston shot 20% from 3PT range his freshman year in over 800 minutes played. Good luck trying to project Ike this stage.

Hope your turn out to be right. This is Ike's 3rd college season though with the redshirt year, so by this point Preston had already made a lot of progress. Fingers crossed.

I will say that in Cornish's favor, he makes his free throws and that's usually a good sign that with a shooting coach and reps the shot's repairable.
