How do you see anything on these reviews?

You can't. It's an absolute disgrace on both of these overturns. These guys must have money on the game.

Man, this one is going to sting but we were fighting until the end. Can’t wait to see these guys back in the Convo against Mercy.

I don't think I've heard a TV announcer in a decade.

I'm doing the same thing tonight. If the camera work is any indication, the PBP folks are worthy of mute.

I know it is early, but given our roster I just don’t think we’re gonna win as much as people had hoped and thought we would. Just a tremendous lack of size. Then we are so small that we get in foul trouble and have no bench.

So far, I like most of what Mitchell brings to Ohio. But the ball kinda "sticks" with him. Ball movement kinda stops. Gave me a ball hog vibe in 2H. The talent and quickness is undeniable though. The first comparison I thought of tonight was Teyvion Kirk.

Pretty good game overall. They hit their open 3s down the stretch...we did not. And we struggled from the free throw line. The tech on Boals hurt...wonder what the outcome would've been without it. Not the first time.he has done this. Needs to stop whining.

I'll give one thing to Wiz, he has gotten some good blocks. That's about all though.

Missed Miles tonight but Sheldon & Mitchell did well.

It appeared as though we were seeing same reviews as refs, not sure how you call the Whiz flagrant or reverse the out of bounds. Boals probably should have take the T on the Whiz call to get better ROI. With 5 minutes left, too late to get your money's worth. On the bright side, Mitchell coming out party. With Hunter, Brown and James, some good offensive firepower. Don't know what we do about lack of size.

Lack of size is on the coaching staff. I’m sure they knew they had plenty of guards. But we lack those 6’6 or 6’7 athletic wing guys and just an average big guy. We would definitely win a 6’5” or under league.

I'll just get this out of the way. I said after Troy I was cautiously optimistic with The Whiz, but Troy just wasn't good. I just don't see how it gets any better moving forward with 11. He is what he is. There is zero improvement in his game guys....zero. I've never seen a 6'11 guy catch a ball under the basket and not have the ability to know what to do. He also never catches a rebound at its high point. He allows the ball to fall to his waist and loses boards. And this has been addressed numerous times. He can't catch the ball. And I will say this...I don't think he gave a nut shot to that dude. I believe the guy flopped, but why was The Whiz even that close to him on that part of the court? That delay killed our momentum and we went up 60-57 to down 63-60. I just can't stomach watching 11 play. It's cringe worthy. We've said it for two years now....he's not a division-one basketball player and unfortunately we have to play him because of our inability to get just one big man in the recruiting class. And let's face it...does anyone really think Ezuma is even going to play another minute in a Bobcat uniform? I’m a Boals guy, but The Whiz experience has been a gigantic swing and miss. A whiff now that is impacting multiple seasons. I just don't know how in the world The Whiz is on this roster one year from now.

With that said, this was top three all-time most frustrating Ohio games to watch. AJB scores 9 points in the first two minutes and then goes invisible until the banked three. I have no idea what is going on with Hunter, but he's playing like the Jaylin of last November. Elmore missed some chippies. We couldn't stop the dribble drive. Cleveland State had 16 offensive rebounds. I think it's going to be scary what Freeman and Payton are going to do down the road. The Boals T was a killer. Yes...the refs were brutal...but man...you can't get a T there and Boals has done this before under the 7 minute mark in close games.

On the positive side....Sheldon grew up tonight and Mitchell was clutch...shame the final play was just a poor design off the timeout. Hadaway had his best game in a long time. Good to see Cornish get some minutes...but he's still timid. I think it's going to take the entire non-con for him to get comfortable.

Need to shake this one off and shoot a 1,000 free throws for the next week. 14-24 from the stripe...unacceptable.

I also saw some good things from Ike, Hadaway and Sheldon but they probably played too much. The replay reviews were horrible. No way even if Gabe nutpunched the guy that they saw it. And the final reversal was sad as heck. These announcers may be the worst I have ever heard.

I like the thought of bringing him off the bench and letting him go crazy with a couple bench players while Hunter gets a blow. It’s how I like guys like Jamal Crawford/Caris Levert/ late-stage Russell Weatbrook. Allows us to use his strengths without bogging down the starting unit.

Hadaway needs to get the whiz minutes. I agree, it looks like Wiz has not improved much at all.. it hard for me to believe that at the college level they couldn’t do some foot drills and ballhandling skills to improve his game unless he just doesn’t have the coordination for it.

+1 with this. I also get the feeling they want to develop Nicol into a PF as well. I want GWiz to do well, but I'm starting to get the urge to get rid of him this offseason

Just back from Cleveland.

One word for this team: Relentless!

Those guards are going to cause the non-elite conference teams ALL kinds of problems this season! OUr guys climb the boards and hustle on defense.

Knock Wiznitzer all you want, he unquestionably had the most exciting play of the game. That was a fantastic block and he winds up with two more rejections. Gabe got double hammered going up for a breakaway layup. I think he has shown significant improvement year over year looking more confident and his teammates haven't given up on him.

Number 11 on CSU killed OHIO with three very quick moving bombs and got his team and crowd fired up. I thought CSU was a bit chippy and thought the foul of Sheldon who fell into Clayton appeared to be a flagrant type purely on purpose. It looked like a takedown of Clayton after a free throw too.

My only real disappointment was not having a healthy Miles for 20 minutes while not tall, he is taller than Sheldon and would have helped stop some drives CSU made. Additionally, the guys down two with 15.1 seconds left didn't get off a good shot with lack of movement and dribbling.

Went to the game ... some observations (based on one game): Mitchell would have been the perfect guy on this team last season. He'll be a spark plug, but a bit of an overkill, position-wise. Good player, wrong team.

Cornish needed to redshirt. Just not physically big enough for the 3/4 spot.

Cats guards will win their share of games as most teams don't have the backcourt depth OU has. Will need to hit a fair share of 3s however most nights.

Obviously, size matters and the Bobcats don't have it.

Love OU's ability to crash the boards, even undersized. Also like how 'Cats drive to the hoop. But must be near 80-percent at the line as a team to make the opposition pay.

Get a wide-body off the football team at the break. A good 10-minute player would be a great help.

Is it possible the refs see a camera angle that we don't see at home on ESPN+? Otherwise, I agree there wasn't much (or any) evidence on two crucial replay calls that went against Ohio.

For all the lack of height issues, the rebounds were even. All 5 of our starters hit double figures. We played without Miles Brown. We shot 50% from the floor and low 40’s% from 3. The fouls both ways were practically even. We didn’t do ourselves any favors at the foul line. Sheldon played some good minutes, soften the absence of Miles.

Seems to me that we lost this game at the foul line:

9-17 vs 20-37

We don't shoot a good percentage and we foul too much.

No offense...but what have you been watching for the last 35 games to say The Whiz has shown "significant improvement" year over year? Huh??? Even Stevie Wonder can see that's not the case. The Whiz is a flat-out liability on the court and he causes so much damage to the team situationally. Also, don't forget he should have also gotten a T for sticking the ball at the chest of a Cleveland State player. He got lucky it wasn't called.

35 games of tape and two full summers of this staff working with The Whiz is enough of a sample size to know this isn't working and he's not a division-one basketball player. And it's not even The Whiz's fault. I blame the coaching staff who somehow believed The Whiz could play at this level. I'll never understand his HS recruiting star ranking and I'll never understand Chris Mack bringing him to Louisville.

Cornish is a second swing and miss, it seems like.

I don't understand the approach at all. If a guy can't contribute at all at Maryland or a very bad Louisville team, what's the likelihood he's a contributor in the MAC. There's just no way that the 10th guy in a P5 rotation is magically a difference maker for us. The gap just isn't that substantial between a good MAC team and a bad P5 team.

Numbers can be deceiving. Rebounding may have been about equal but how many offensive rebounds and second chance points did they get? That was also a different maker.

Between Wiz and Cornish (so far) it makes you wonder what these recruiting sites are looking at when they give these guys 3-4-5 stars. Reserving a bit of judgement on Cornish as it's clear he needs a redshirt to fill out and mature.

Still, that would make him a 3-star at best (coming out of high school) with 'upside' to a 4-5-star as he matured. His best days are ahead of him, hopefully.

Missed the last 10 mins of the game (s/o to all the fouls that slowed the game) due to an event. This was an annoying loss, but not a bad loss considering we didn’t have Miles and it was on the road.

Count me as someone who thinks Gabe isn’t as bad as last year (I thought he was horrendous). He already has 5 blocks; he had 7 all of last season. He’s going to have his Gabe moments but it’s not all doom and gloom for a guy playing 15 mins a game.

Let’s give Ike more than 15 minutes of total PT this year before deeming he’s a swing and miss just because he came from Maryland.

Knowing what’s going on with Ezuma would be nice. I can’t imagine Boals would still be carrying the guy if he didn’t expect him back at some point this season. He’d just dismiss him.
