I really wish they would move the press box to the other side, but I understand that would require a massive amount of renovation and money we probably don't have. I think we make up for it at times with the sheer noise - Akron after Miles' three and Hadaway's alley oop during "WT/LT" against BG were a prime example. If you want to go back further game against Toledo was electric.
Ideally the press faces the bench.
They can move the press box to Fallujah. I'm not sure what that has to do with the camera angle on TV.

The "press box" is a couple dudes sitting at folding card tables on the concourse.
On the list of investments we need to make, this is somewhere between pages 25 and 30.

That's because you have no business sense and even less forethought.

ESPN cameras are literally just sitting, on a tripod, on the ground, above the last row of the student section.

You're under the impression we need a hefty construction project to... roll them... 100 feet to the right? They pick them up and take them after every game. I can assure you, ESPN camera operators do not get paid by the step, if thats your concern.

There is room for the cameras because of a previous construction project where press/radio etc was build out from the concourse toward the floor. You can't just put cameras on the other side and call it a solution. You could call it a fire hazard, though.

And what are they going to see? a bunch of students on their phones? We can't even get good natural sound in the arena for the + webcasts so even if the students did get off their asses, no one could tell.

You are just too subtle. He'll never get the point unless you are a little more direct. He needs being hit over the head with it. He doesn't understand things said in faint and vague way.

Seriously, you make a good point.

We really need a big guy of the ilk of Myles Foster. Our guards are as good as anyone's with Hunter, Mitchell, James and Brown. AJ Brown is a great 2-3 and I have complete faith in AJ Clayton to take another step and be a solid 4. Whiz is salvageable for 5 minutes a game at the 5. That gives us 7 guys already in our rotation. We just need to add Foster or a version of him and then develop guys like Ezuma, Nichol and Hadaway for that other 4-5 spot. COME ON BOALS, LAMAR AND LEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing! I wonder at 6’6 and how Boals constructed it the lineup towards the end of the year, if he uses Cornish at the 4 like Roderick/undersized stretch 4. Regardless, awesome get. One more — Foster.

I would do exactly this. Hunter, James, AJB, Cornish, and whoever can board, score in the post, and rim defend the best.

Agreed. Hoping that 5th is Foster. He’s only 1 inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter than DW3.

No doubt he heard of the transformative strategy to change camera angles within the Convo. What's next, a record increase in enrollment, millions in new donations, a road game shuttle for OCF?

This has been the case for about a week. Foster has also commented and liked the Shereef commitment posts. Gotta think he likes what he’s seeing even more after the Ike commit.

Interesting. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a commit within the week from him. But, Graff was making the point of moving Clayton to the post with Wiz/Ezuma backing him up too.

I'm excited about his length on the defensive end as much as anything. He's gotta be one of the most athletic MAC players from day one.

I agree with posters above thinking we could see a 4-guard look next year

Anyone who claims Gabe did not make any progress this season is willfully ingnoring reality. A ton of progress? No, but he has gotten better.
Goodness...then count me in as having no perception of reality I guess. My god....just look at the numbers of the team when he's on the court. +/- is a good indicator and it was atrocious. I can go on and on about The Whiz, but time to re-focus on the portal and get big guys who can contribute and set a legal screen.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erP8Ipe72IY

So this guy has no ability?
Jerry...if you watched The Whiz play 32 games this past season, then you know the answer to this question.
I'll leave it at this, the footage shown is REAL. The fact Boals has not capitalized on it seemingly in any way is not all on Wiz. Boals is struggling. I like him but he's not what many expected in terms of improving our program. And without Saul's recruits it would look even worse.
When was the last time you saw a guy look bad in a HIGHlight reel?

247 had him listed in h.s. as four stars.

Original offer list included: Rutgers, Georgetown, Maryland, DePaul, St Johns, VCU, Virginia Tech, Xavier, UMass

Only question mark: shot 19% from three in college??

See my comment on the recruiting board. He played sparingly and such a small sample size that those stats are essentially meaningless.

He was a 4-star, top 100 recruit nationally out of HS. Made it to a Big Ten team.

Still recovering from injury? Just flukey due to small sample size? Both are possible. I just doubt he forgot how to shoot.

Yea, he only made 16 attempts. Can’t really base much off that.

Wish the season started tomorrow following the Bobcats recent additions! This is an elite roster by MAC standards in terms of high school recruiting rankings and pure potential.

Doesn't mean it'll all come together on the court but I'll reiterate that I believe this should be a top 100 team next year.

Their guard depth is incredible and they should be able to attack teams in waves for 40 minutes straight. I'm a little concerned about their forwards but that'll go away if they add Foster.

The fact that we could have Hunter starting next to two four star players (Brown/Cornish) with guys like Shareef Mitchell and Miles Brown leading the second unit is scary to think about. And I'm still incredibly high on Elmore James as well regardless of if he's starting or not.

I agree. As is, this roster has a rotation that in some form will have Hunter, Mitchell, Miles, AJ Brown, Cornish, Clayton, James and Wiznitzer. That doesn't include Ezuma, Hadaway, Sheldon or Nichol and another guy. If we add a Foster-type of player then we can take time to develop Ezuma and Hadaway slowly.
