Just hope this doesn't end up being another Oakwood. At home, no less!
Update: 20 point lead. Now that's more like it!
2nd update: Good win!

Glad to see the shooting pick up in the second half.  Didn't feel like a 35 point win, but I'll take it.

Game ball goes to Stevie Taylor for the big rejection that lead to a bucket on the other end.

Arkley tweeted that there were 15 assists on the first 15 buckets. Did that trend last the whole game. Outstanding second half holding Longwood to 15 second half points.

Longwood may have been the worst team I've seen in the Convo in a while. Heidelberg may have beaten them by 15.

On to the next one!

Perhaps a Convo record for 2 team total on Air Balls....

They had one really good player (#22) and OU shot horribly in the first half. It was almost like we got to watch two separate games tonight. The first game was close, yet frustrating. The second game was a complete blowout.

My favorite play of the game: Stevie Taylor's monster block. That play alone was worth the drive over tonight.

I pride myself in having heard of most colleges in the USA that play even D3 sports.  I had not heard of Longwood, and like others, thought it was in California for some reason.  While I was at the game, I did a little web search on my iPhone and discovered that they are the third oldest college in Virginia being founded in1839.  Only William and Mary and UVA are older.  They started out as a female seminary and then became a woman's college on the eve of the Late Rebellion.  Though I haven't looked this up to confirm, I believe Farmville was a fall back position during the evacuation of Petersburg.

I thought the Longwood team played very hard and didn't give up even when we opened up a large lead in the second half.  I like their hustle.  We were just a lot quicker and more skilled.  I wouldn't be surprised with their transfers and redshirts that they'll challenge for the Big South title next year.

One of the refs was named Todd Sweeney.  His day job must be as a barber.

My mother-in-law played basketball for Longwood when it was still State Teachers College. She is 88 years old and is in a bad mood this morning with Longwood and UVA both losing by 35 points last night.

My game ball goes to Jon Smith even though he only scored 1 point.  Stats say he only had 9 rebounds but he kept a number of balls alive for others to clean up. And he and Mo affected too many shots to count.  We are a matchup nightmare for Longwood.

Hopefully the good shooting goes forward.

I can see this. IN a dark room huddled around a computer screen

The smallest and maybe the best gift I received for Christmas was Chromecast which will allow me to stream the games on my 65" TV instead of watching on my office computer.   Giggity!!!

Got this as well....awesome gift!

Nice to see Stevie and Wilkins knock down some 3s in the second half. We're going to need that moving forward.
