I just checked out the Asheville Brewing website.  The place describes itself as "the most kid friendly brewery this side of the UK".  For Kim and I, we have hit the family road trip pregame jackpot.  See you guys Saturday.

Greetings from Asheville. Got here last night before the winds came roaring through. Sunny and crisp today. For anyone who gets in today or doesn't leave till Sunday check out this place for dinner. Curate - best tapas I've ever had. They're full every night but we got a spot at the bar with only a 30 minute wait. Athens could definitely use a place like this. See you all at noon tomorrow

Curate is excellent.  Zambra is even better but under renovations .  Other food stops folks should consider: Early Girl is a breakfast/brunch institution.  Tupelo Honey is southern food at its best.  Bouchon is a wonderful country French restaurant (we'll probably hit it Saturday night).  Many places do not take reservations.  but most have a bar waiting area. Grove Park is worth a stop for a cocktail.  Majestic place.  Onsite restaurants are lacking.  ll in all, Asheville is food heaven.  A win and a killer meal or two.  Great way to start the new year.

Did I miss this earlier? There multiple locations for Asheville Brewing Co - which one are we meeting at?

I'm in with my wife. Probably eating a little farther away at the Sunny Point Cafe. I liked it the first time I went there.

One of the Red Room gang will be at the game for her first Bobcat game in decades, though she had made football games during the RR reunions in Athens.  She'll be behind the media area in second row middle seats as a first time proud grandma.  Her name is Jeanne and will be there with daughter Leah and son-in-law Derek.
If anyone gets an opportunity, please introduce yourself and have her tell you some of the legendary exploits from the Red Room and Valley Acres days in Athens.
