Just bought tickets. My wife and I will be 4 rows behind the Ohio bench (row D section1), seats 15 and 16. Anyone else going to make the trip?  I live in Durham so it is a little easier trip.

What section and seat number?  I can't figure out the aisle from their online ticketing system.

Alan, check this link http://sherrillcenter.com/sites/sherrillcenter.com/files/Facility_Maps/BBarenalayout.pdf

I'm not sure I understand the B or C sections, but '1' looks to be what we want. I figure the more expensive the seat, the closer to the action. Seats were only 17(12.25) though.

Here's what it said when I ordered it. I bought mine from the UNCA ticket website.

B-Sideline Floor 1 E 1 H25-25 % Off 12.75

Looks like section 1, row E, seat 1.

Got my tickets through UNCA ticket office. Did not see our ticket office offering them but maybe I missed something. In any event my ticket says section 1, row D which I assume is 4 rows above the team bench.

I am gonna try to make this game. Ohio's Bobcats have a tendency to win at the end when I'm present this year.

I just ordered mine. Section e behind Ohio bench. I was hoping western Carolina would have a game that evening but they also play at 2pm.  I'm only two hours away in Charlotte.

Downtown for pregame drinks you have the thirsty monk downtown @ www.monkpub.com (has 2 floors, tons of micro/euro brews), Lexington Ave Brewery (LAB, has their own brews), Wicked Weed Brewing on Biltmore, and Biergarden which is a sports bar/restaurant with tons of local/micro/macro on tap.

Closer to the UNCA Campus is a place called Asheville Growler (opens at noon), where you could also buy a growler to take home on your trip.

Looks like Asheville Brewing is near the Growler - up towards the University.  Shorter the drive distance from last beer to campus the better.   The brewery also sells food - which I'll need for the kid.

Escaped my mind, will be there. If parking up front is full, there is more parking behind the building.

A place I've been that's another good spot is The Bier Garden in Asheville.  Plenty of beer and food selection. Right down town.

We're planning on arriving in time for a bite and a brew.  We'll head to the brewery.

Got my tickets by phone from a young man in their ticket office.  Sec 1, row E, on the aisle.  Pretty much the same seats I have in the Convo.  For those of you who haven't been to or spent much time in Asheville, you'll love it.  i asked Rod last night if he was coming down and he said unfortunately not and that he had never been to Asheville.  During my management career, I've covered 28 states and there are a handful of towns that I put into a certain category.  Portland, Maine, Burlington, VT, Providence, RI and Asheville, NC, highlight that list.  i love Athens, have lived here almost 35 years, and we too could be on that list with just a few bumps.  Anyway, looking forward to the trip.  Staying at the Indigo close to the Grove Arcade.  For all of you wine lovers, there is an excellent wine bar in the arcade called Sante.  Used to be owned by a lady from Ohio.  Check it out if you get a chance and also the downtown Woolworth's.  It's what we could have in Athens with a little forward thinking.  See you all at noon at the brewery.

We vacationed in Burlington, VT last year...I second what Alan says--great town.  Headquarters for Ben & Jerry's and Green Mountain Coffee Roaster, river townand a lot more--especially the museum there.  Can't remember the museum's name but we thought ti was small and gave it a couple hours on our last day there.  Turns out it was owned by a family which was as wealthy as the Vanderbilts and the museum grounds are large with a round barn, a covered bridge, models of working farm stations, a great museum and, if memory serves, a building devoted to women's fashion through the years.  Really a neat place to visit.  We stayed in a great old hotel (can't remember name) for surprisingly little dollars (priceline!) which was a half a mile away from an outlet mall.

Before I twist this thread to what conference we'll be in next year, why don't we play more games in southern California?
