Recap says Campbell had 6 points, 5 boards in 17 minutes.  I'm thinking his development is probably the biggest 'find' we could have.

Thoughts on how he's doing, how he's progressed?

I think Campbell has a way to go before he starts, but his game is just what we need off the bench.

If he keeps progressing this year, it'll make next year less worrisome.  We should have a pretty formidable front line with Ndour, Campbell & Setty next year.

Ndour sits  about 12 minutes of the 1st half because he has two fouls. He ends up with 2.  Some similar scenarios in earlier games.  Christian has to let him learn how to play with a couple fouls.

As goes Mo, so goes OHIO.

He seems like a quiet type and just goes about his business out on the court. Reminds me Leon Williams. I love guys like that.

Let's just make sure Wadley never attempts a three pointer again.

But I agree, that collection of bigs next year will be a lot for MAC teams to handle.  I like it!

I wish Campbell had seen more time in the OOC portion of our schedule. Pretty clear he is pretty talented if he can polish his game a bit.

The frontcourt next year doesn't worry me at all. I am actually very excited for that part of our team... Ndour will be drawing doubles regularly which should open it up for whoever our other post guy is (Campbell, Setty, Wadley, Tariq) to really do what they want down there.

My bigger concern is wing play. Between Wigginton, Morillo, Harley, Wingfield and Crute we need to find fill all the minutes played by Kellogg, Hall, Wilkins and Rico. JC brought in some very skilled wing players who contributed immediately at Kent... No reason for me to doubt he will do the same here.

he he did learn to play with 2 fouls.  The entire second half. Situationally the move makes sense. A game called inconsistently as last night's game is no place for someone as valuable as Mo. It was more important to get playing time for others in this situation.

To the point of Campbell's playing time, I too wish he had played more but I think it would have been more detrimental than useful.  He is in much better shape now and has some confidence. I think early prolonged exposure could have been hard on the confidence factor.  I feel like JC has managed the bench very well and will pay off in the end.

Looks like the game has slowed down for Campbell. Seems to be more sure of himself.

I did not see last night's game, but did see those against OSU and UMASS.  Even vs. UMASS, it was obvious that  Campbell was working hard to get in better shape.  I did see one thing that concerned me, but maybe it's nothing.  It does not look like Campbell know how to run!  He's either running on his heels or completely flat footed.  There is no push of the balls of his feet. Doesn't really show in the half court, but watch him when he moves from defensive boards to the other end of the court.  It looks very awkward.

Understand your reasoning, but disagree.

No he didn't learn to play with 2 fouls, he sat more than half the game. There's now way we're going to lose that game against Ball. We played our D- game, at least in the 1st half, and still won by 20. A great time to give Ndour an opportunity to learn to play with 2 fouls rather than sit most of the 1st half and much of second. Ended up playing only 19 minutes. We need him playing 30+ minutes.

Same scenario against 'Kron where he sat the last 9+ minutes of 1st half with 2 fouls. Only ended up playing 33 of 50 minutes. Maybe a different outcome if Mo plays more?

An aside: I will never forget Al McGuire's decision to play Bo Ellis after committing 2 quick fouls at the outset of the national championship game against N. Carolina which they won. Bo played most of game with 4 fouls.  Al stuck with him the entire game. He never fouled out and he played the entire game.

Or maybe JC is trying to teach N'Dour to NOT get two quick fouls.  Maybe, just maybe, there is a lesson to be learned that you don't commit stupid reaching fouls early in the game, because you will find yourself on the bench.
