Louis Orr's office telephone number is listed under his name on his coaching bio on the BGSU website. Most D1 programs hide that thing eight layers deep in the website.

Or maybe it's a fake number and it takes you directly to Myles Pizza.

I highly recommend browsing AZZ. They're so angry and fed up with Orr it makes for great reading.

I could be mistaken, but I believe it was philosophy professor Alfred Lent who compared Bowling Green to a turkey sandwich with provalone cheese and mayonnaise on white bread. Which is to say, that if one chose the least exciting ingredients possible, this is the result.

Louis Orr played 8 years of professional basketball; his win-share per game is .007 below the league average. He is 6 games over .500 now in his 13th year of head coaching experience. His wikipedia page has not been updated since the 2012 season.

Bowling Green’s turkey sandwich does have a little bit of mustard on it. Richaun Holmes is the 15th best shot blocker in the country, has 52 on the season going into a Sunday game at Western Michigan. He would become BG’s all-time leader in only 2 seasons if he maintains his current average of over 3 per game. Still, it’s a bland sandwich that will be served with a glass of room-temperature water.

Much like DirectTV, I have decided to part ways with The Weather Channel. I have a hard time catching tomorrow’s predictions when I’m distracted by a truckload of apples that may fall into a Canadian river. Right now, my loyalties are totally up for grabs, and this week’s game will play a huge role in deciding which forecaster will win my heart. Accuweather says we’re going to see evening snow showers on Wednesday. Scalia Lab says no precipitation. Both agree temps will be into the single digits overnight. Travel will be a gameday decision.

I agree, FJ.  The only thing I miss about Weather Channel is Stephanie Abrams' chest.

BG held NIU to 45 pts.  And lost.  By nine.

Our bigs hold the key.  Shut down Parker & Holmes and it should be a cakewalk.

Western Michigan had the Falcons down by 15 in the second half. And we talk about Senderoff as a coaching liability?

When you start bemoaning the fact your team is going to be televised, that's next-level self-hatred:

Here is another quote form AZZ

Too bad we aren't playing them again in football here. I don't expect us to get destroyed quite as bad as we kicked their ass in football, but I give us about a 3% chance at winning. Ohio is my pick to win the MAC this year (yes, I know Akron's had their number as of late). But I still think they have the most balanced team in the conference, they can be terrific at times from three (Kellogg is one of the best shooters in the MAC and would be "the" guy I want taking a three if I need to hit one), they have very athletic guys in the post who can defend, rebound and block shots in Ndour and Smith (Ndour is my vote for Newcomer of the Year and he is a MAC Player of the Year candidate), and they continue to reload without missing a beat despite losing the MAC Player of the Year in Cooper last year (I would argue they are actually a little better this year without him). Further, there will be no argument whatsoever from anyone in attendance if they decide to break out the "Coach"..."No Coach" chant. Much better and much more fitting than the "Winning Team, Losing Team" one here no doubt, and it'll be their last time to get it in on Orr in his farewell tour.

That would be funny as hell although I have a feeling that JC wouldn't like it much.

Quite the gauntlet we have to run in the MAC with regards to defensive teams.... Hoping we get our ducks in a row offensively so that we will be ready not only for BG, but for Buffalo and Eastern Michigan.
I think it was JSF that posted on another site something to the effect that, any team with a good scouting report will be able to figure out our O pretty quickly.  Which made me think about  football and the power plays where they have a bread and butter play they run until someone stops it... I think there can be some similarities between basketball with offensive plays or sets where, a defensive team essentially knows what the other team is going to do, but isn't able to stop it due to excellent execution, individual talents of the players, deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball, etc....
The best example I can come up with is the Stockton/Malone pick and roll. Granted, they were special players but, it does show that it can be done... Obviously, it can be a mixture of both basic plays executed very well and new wrinkles that aim to surprise.... Thoughts?
Regardless of how we roll, beat BG!!!

I sit behind the visitors bench and witnessed the unsportsmanlike conduct last year.  I would not miss this game for anything.  Bowling Green was very aggressive and to my recollection played a little dirty.  That assistant was way out of line.

There is a better video that someone posted last year. This one starts with Orr taking the guy off the court.

Setty appears timid at the offensive end.  Hall passed him a beauty and instead of a catch and a rim buster he bounces it once and lets every one catch up and block his shot.  Gets another vs the zone inside the foul line for a wide open 13 footer and passes it away.

Needs to get some confidence and get aggressive.
