I don't know what the standard is for hi def 1080 type broadcast is or if there is a standardized measurement of lux or some similar scale that is present in the industry.
When the lights go down it is dim for a bit while they come back up there...if anyone has been there following the introductions (not sure what year we started that but it is pretty cool) they know how long it takes to come back up to bright. On the floor walking around I find the COnvo as bright as any arena in the MAC that i can think of off the top of my head, the JAR and Savage being the closest.
In that past years we have been many places, Tulsa, Delaware, Maryland, Peoria,Ill State that come to mind that I do not think are much different on the floor with regard to brightness but see lots of TV action comparatively. Xavier may seem a bit brighter down low but they also have a better temp and much newer lighting that may be balanced for tv specifically. I do not think Dayton is appreciably different having been in that arena since it was built but they seem to do many games there with not problem. Ass Hall in Bloomington has always seemed dark on TV while Mich St has always seemed very bright in 2 arenas that I see often on TV. IN your contrast example...the new floor at Oregon has to give video guys absolute fits.
I know when Muncie Central and Milan met on the 50th anniversary commemoration of the game that inspired the movie Hoosiers, ESPN came in and replaced the
lighting in the fieldhouse as it was much too dim for the telecast. The floor really pops out from the stadium that is illustrated quite well in this pic of a girls game on a very snowy night.
