Sorry guys, spent a lot of the last two weeks traveling and then weekends full of kids basketball and swim meets.  I'll have the last two games updated momentarily.

7-8 teams have the ability to win the MACC this year.  Oughtta be crazy in March.  Hope we are playing our best then.  We will need it based on performance/scores so far.

After mass hysteria (cats and dogs living together) earlier in the year the MAC has returned to a little normalcy with only one birdie in the last week.

This is where the uphill battle in pursuit of a 4 seed really sinks in.  Gotta get at least 1 birdie this week!

We are facing a tough road. As we knew already the schedule makers did us no favors.  Of the five teams in the conference with a winning record only Toledo has played as tough a schedule as we have to date with Western Michigan, Akron and Buffalo each having easier schedules to date (Buffalo and Akron significantly easier).   Here's how the records of the teams each of the five have left to play on the schedule looks:

Ohio 49-31 (3 home, 5 away)
Buffalo 47-33 (4 home, 4 away)
Akron 44-36 (5 home, 3 away)
Western 39-41 (4 home, 4 away)
Toledo 34-46 (4 home, 4 away)

Ohio plays five games against the other four teams (the next five games) and will have had 8 games total against them by the end of the season while the other four teams only face 6.   That's a tough recipe but it's also an opportunity.

The MAC deities have given us pretty easy football scheds recently.  This is their get-even.

Also don't for get Eastern Michigan. Only a game behind Ohio and has two games left vs. NIU, one vs. CMU and one vs. Ball State. Four of last seven games are at home. Key games include two vs. Toledo and one vs. WMU. Take care of business and win even one of the three against the better teams and they could push for the top four, depending on how the other teams fare.
