Zips get an extra day of rest while we had to fly to the end of the earth to play NIU.

Flights from ORD to CMH are like 40 minutes. That travel isn't terrible at all. Unless they drove the whole way then eeesh.

Zips come in after beating Kent in a sold out JAR where they seemed to start hitting a higher percentage of threes then they had been the past 5-7 games. Freeman bombed in two during big possessions to keep Kent from getting too close.

The ZIPS are 145 in Field Goal percentage nationally
196th in 3-pt percentage
190th in points scored
141st in Rebounds

Bobcats are 93rd in FG percentage
51st in three percentage
110th in total points
208th in rebounds

It surprises me somewhat that with dead-eye Enrique Freeman tossing in 2 pointers at a high rate that the Bobcats are better at field goal percentage.

Looking forward to dinner at Jackie-O's and a so familiar walk down Richland Avenue. Here is hoping OUr guards can shut down Trible penetration, our bigs stay out of foul trouble and Hunter and Miles go out in style in their final regular season game against a team from Akron.

GO OHIO win this one for the home crowd!

I may have heard wrongly but I thought I heard Russ say sometime surrounding the game that the team had chartered and was leaving straightaway...

Right away and right to Athens (or Albany or wherever) instead of Cbus plus bus.

Currently:
OU would play (5) BG and (1) Akron (or 8 Kent State)

1) Akron 12-1 (2/27)
2) Toledo 11-3
3) CMU 10-4
4) OU 9-5
5) BG 8-6 (3/2)
6) Miami 7-7 (3/8)
7) WMU 7-7
8) Kent State 6-8

Ball State 5-9
EMU 4-10
NIU 3-11
Buffalo 2-12 (3/5)

Those two games vs BG (2PM Saturday) and @ Miami (Next Friday) are gonna be tough. And it's gonna be tougher to turn right around and play them again.

I hate these guys. This is an absolute great spot for us, let's take advantage of this opportunity to put the MAC on notice.

Take care of business and we would officially become that team that nobody wants to play in March =)

Offically? It's already on the college green entrance, right?

So enter that daily thou mayest grow in knowledge, wisdom and love and be the team no one wants to play in Cleveland

Ohio is favored by 1.5 tonight. Who would've thought when we were 1-3 that we would be favored in this matchup.

That was surprising to me. Does the betting universe view us as basically equal to Akron at this point?

Surprised, but not surprised. I watched the Akron at Buffalo game. Bulls were there with 4 minutes left in game and didn't score another basket.

Vegas has really seemed to like us the entire MAC season.

And all these years up until the last two, the Ivy played Friday and Saturday night driving from one venue to the other play the next night at 7 while the home team slept in their beds. Those Ivy guys must be pretty tough. :)

Midweek homefield advantage, me thinks.

39-6 at the Convo over the last three seasons.

I hope this is an exciting game as well. Also, a decent turnout. It would be nice to have more in attendance than in a sold-out JAR. This game is for OUr players. An inkling of hope that we can compete on a given night/neutral court with a top 4 MAC team in the tournament. If its not that, it's just experience for our underclassmen for the future. Nothing to lose, much to gain.

Torvik has Akron winning 71-70.
49% chance of Ohio winning.
Truest of coin flips.

What's Vegas saying about the odds that either or both coaches will get T'd up? The odds ought to be pretty high that at least one of these hot-headed coaches will get called for a technical. Should be a very exciting atmosphere!

Bobcats will win this game in the Convo and win at home again vs BG. Miami on the road next week will be tough. Does anyone know the tie break if Toledo and the Zips end up with the same amount of conference wins?

These games, at this time of year can be a crap shoot. Would love to see the fellas take this one. I would take the over in a Boals/Groce wrestling match. It's a bummer it's not televised being on a Tuesday and not a Saturday game. Thanks MAC. way to get butts in the seats for end of season games that matter.

The fouls on Shereef and AJC were bogus. Miles took a whack from Freeman in the face on his baseline drive and nothing.
