Dream Scenario:
Win MAC Tourney, advance to NCAAs with 26 wins

Still Very Happy Scenario:
Lose in Semis, host NIT game (another chance for Kellogg to redeem himself at home for a likely final game there)

Most Probable Scenario:
Lose Thursday, play in tournament that starts with a capital C (would still like a home game)

Awful Scenario:
Lose to the Redhawks tonight

I was on the fence on this, as only the most avid fans even know that the CBI and the CIT exist let alone who plays in and wins them, and then Ohio beats Miami to advance to the 3rd round of the MAC Tourney.  If there's one team in America that has earned a spot in a postseason tournament, it's Ohio!  Ohio can barely field 5 healthy players and yet they keep winning.  What heart!!!!!!  Keep on playing, Ohio, you deserve it!!!!

P.S.  If the 2013 football team had half the heart the basketball team has they'd have been playing in the MAC Championship!

There is no way we are hosting an NIT game. We just don't the RPI to host an NIT. Unfortunately we aren't going to get much if any of an RPI boost by winning in the MAC tournament. Make it to the MAC finals and maybe Top 75. We are 85 now. Beat Akron and lose to Western brings us up to 80. It would take a Top 60 RPI to host an NIT team as a MAC school. There is so little margin for error. If you are talking a home game in the CBI/CIT I can't see how we are anything but a lock to host one of those with our attendance and record. Only 2 teams in the CBI and 2 in the CIT had 23+ wins last season. The RPI is going to be among the Top 3 or 4 of either field.

Wasn't there a comment earlier in the week that Christian said all we had to do was get to the National championship game for Ricardo to get a chance at a medical redshirt? If that's true an invite to the CBI which is 16 teams and a best of 3 series to win the title presents the same opportunity, right! Now that would be interesting.

That is very interesting. Once you are in the CBI field you have a 1/8 chance of making the best of 3 series. We'd have to lose one of the games in the best of 3 series intentionally for that to be true.  Could set a team record with 30 wins if we lose in the MAC final and win the CBI tournament.
