Very interesting basketball game tonight in the Convo. Cleveland State is as good as advertised. They shoot the ball well, are very well coached, they played very hard, and are very quick defensively. Their pressure gave us fits for most of the game. The Bobcats had to really work to protect the basketball.
Great post season experience for our younger players who are going to be called on to contribute to this program going forward. If for no other reason, this is reason enough for anyone who knows anything about developing players and developing a team to be excited about playing, and winning in this post season action !
Giacoma, if you could have been in the Convo tonight, and around these kids the past few days, I am going to bet that you would feel differently about this post season play....at least I would hope that you would.
Give me the kids who want the opportunity to go out and compete, and show what they can do. This opportunity can only help your defelopment as a player in a proud program. Our kids played their butts off tonight, as did Cleveland State. I'll take the kids who welcome the challenge, regardless of what tourney it might be. You can have the kids that want to hang it up early, and quit on their teammates. You take your kind, and I will take my kind, and we will meet you head on, anytime, anyplace and guess which team will compete, even when things get tough ??????????
