The other thing to remember if your a "JC has to do what's best for him..." apologist, is that JC was hired for the purposes of
stability. He was a successful coach that had bombed at the next level, and returned to the MAC with his tail between his legs. We were all pretty disappointed when he was named coach (not the most exciting candidate to say the least) and the general consensus was that he was a Frank Solich style hire. We get a long term coach and he gets to enjoy the job stability that comes with the (relatively) low expectations of a MAC program.
Or so we thought. Instead we saved his large butt from being fired at TCU...and this is what we get in return. And I don't want to hear "but TCU was turning around...they had a great year before JC left!" They did that with transfers and the year after he left they won only two conference games! He didn't build anything there.
So yes, if I were JC I would be ashamed to leave.
