Did you guys see what UB players did tonight? Flipping us off? Grabbing their nuts and sticking their tongues out? Classless. We should do something about it!

I heard something about McCrea going over and doing something with the 110's drums, but I want to see video before I pass judgment

barring a rematch in Cleveland superstar Javon McCrea will finish his college career 2-7 vs Ohio. Impressive.

Javon did some posing afterwards and a few others did some jeering, but I didn't see any nut-grabbing or flipping the bird. I did hear Javon mess with a 110 drum. That wasn't very lady-like.

The Bulls have been our conference b#&%hes for quite a while, so let them be Azz Klowns.

I would say to the Bulls what my Dad yells at every football player who showboats in the end zone- "Act like you've been there before", but they really don't know what its like to beat Ohio so this unchartered waters for them. How precious.

To the victor go the spoils. I'm sure the O Zone was talking trash all night. When you lose, that'll happen. Good to see we got in their head though.

Honestly, who cares?

I've covered UB for the majority of the season and have never seen anything close to what is being described above. Maybe they did it. It's honestly not a big deal.

Players do weird crap like that all of the time. And to be honest, Ohio probably was in their heads. I know for a fact that their history vs. the Bobcats is definitely in their fan base's heads.

For crying out loud, I was a UB fan before I attended Ohio and the 05 Championship debacle still haunts me even though I ended up graduating from Ohio.

Let it go, folks.  They won a big game and celebrated, apparently.  Our recourse was during the 40 minutes before the clock hit 0:00  ...but we didn't get it done.

Definitely saw McCrea grab his crotch gesturing towards the O Zone.

Other guys were jawing, all in good fun. But it seems like McCrea took it overboard, which really fuels the fire.

Now, if UB players were doing this towards our players, then we'd actually have a problem.

Yeah I saw it too. Not very classy but hey the Ozone isn't exactly a classy bunch and that's a good thing. Akron players did the same thing after the OT win this year. Tree came over and yelled at the ozone. It just means we're doing a good job. They wish their fans had the same passion we do

Now that they have this out of their system, they won't be so fired up if we get them in the tourney.

They won a game in the Convo over us.  Big deal, seems like everyone is doing that lately.  Feels weird to say this, but I can't wait until we hit the road again so we can win a few more games.

I've always heard this to be a Paul Brown saying.  They, and We should all remember this.

I disagree.  This IS a somewhat of a big deal.  If this were a professional sport, it could earn a suspension or a fine.  In the English Premier League, a starting player Jack Wilshire for Arsenal was suspended for flying the bird to the opposing fans after a game.  Ohio State's O-Lineman got suspended by his coach for the same thing.  I won't say it is the worst behavior, but it's not something that's simply okay or acceptable.

Akron and perhaps Bowling Green players did some carrying on after their games in the Convo this year as well. I wonder if this would happen if there were other student sections in the MAC that come anywhere close to the numbers, noise, and vitriol that our students have. If MAC teams faced these kinds of crowds in every game, as teams in the Big East and ACC do, they might not feel compelled to throw it back in our faces when they win.

Kudos to the O Zone for last night. I thought the whole crowd in general was small considering it was the Green Fever game, but the students who came were very rowdy when they needed to be.

McCrea has been my favorite opposing player in the MAC for a while.  I love the way he plays the game on both ends of the floor (minus FT shooting).  My seats are as close to where all this happened as possible.  McCrea did grab his crotch and flip the bird, but the most distrubing thing was the hand across his upper lip like a handgun the entire walk off the court.  He only took it down to pound the snare drum on the corner of the 110 drumline on his way to the locker room.

The OZone was in UB's heads in the 2nd half.  That's what a student section does.  Shame on Hurley for not telling his players to get off the court after a big win.  Hurley even stopped near McCrea as if he also wanted to confront the OZoners that were yelliing at him from midcourt.  McCrea played 160 quality minutes in the Convo during his career, then tarnished his on-floor performance on his way out.  That entire 1-2 minutes after the handshake line soured my take on both Hurley and McCrea.  Hurley acted like a player instead of a D1 head coach and McCrea acted like a thug.

Eh, I don't have a huge problem with it.  The Ozone gives it pretty good so you just have to take it when it's given back.   We have had some pretty notorious jabs at them as well over the years.

the freakout on Twitter by the official Ozone twitter account is over the line. threatening players, throwing a fit... its over the top. Be passionate during the game, but then leave it in the Convo. We need to be represented better than that.

I'll bite.  Be careful how you use the term.  It sounds like he acted immature for a guy who probably should not.  Calling him a "thug" implies worse things IMO.

I wish I'd have seen this situation.  I was already on the way to the car. when this occurred.  Perhaps the replay of the game feed has it?

Agree with Van.  This series has had stuff like this happening.  Something happened postgame up at Buffalo last year.  I say forget it and let it go.

I saw it.  I chalk it up to a player reacting to the business the O Zone was giving him all night.  It's easy to say show some class, but in the heat of the moment a 20-21 year old kid who came up big down the stretch threw some back at the crowd who was giving it to him pretty good all night.  I didn't like it, but I think you could sense it was coming when Buffalo iced the game.

It was a complete embarrassment by the O-Zone twitter page and some of their leaders after the game. It's okay to be passionate and say things but you have to be able to take it back. Ohio lost but I agree with you that some of our fellow fans need to grow up.
