Absolutely correct. And it is pathetic. The Cleveland media, especially the newspaper, treats o$u football like a hometown team. Staff of shills. One TV station plays the o$u fight song when they show highlights. "Hang on Sloopy" is played at Browns, Indians and Cavs games and the crowds go wild. o$u played Cleveland State in basketball at the Q several years ago and it was a largely pro-o$u crowd.

Pretty much justifies their playing up OSU like the home team, no?  Let's get over it...OSU is the dominant Div. I program in the state and always will be.

SBH is mellowing as he ages.

Either that, or he's a closet o$u fan.

OSU is chasing some huge targets from the greater Cleveland area.   This game is likely an attempt to get the prospects smore time around the program without having to have them travel to Columbus.

Wrong. The "target" is $'s.  It's about catering to and maximizing to$u revenue stream potential with the NE Ohio fan base with a low risk in state opponent - Period...........

Doug Lesmerises is the absolute worst. I do not know if he has ever written an article about something non-Ohio State.

Also his AP poll votes during football season are usually the most asinine, off the wall of all of the voters.

But yes, Baskin is a toolbag come football season too on Channel 5

Doug L. Is the paper's Ohio State beat reporter... that's what he's supposed to write about.

I get that, but there are times where he has a piece that SHOULD be non-OSU and he weaves it in regardless of how little sense it makes.  I guess I should have been a little clearer, given that yes, the bulk of his job description is to cover them.

Yes, it is dubbed as a "home" game for CSU, but I'll bet the house that the contract calls for Big 10 officials for the game. tosu will not let anything be put to chance. Kentucky did the same thing when they visited the Convo. The contract for that game called for SEC officials - even the official scorer for the game.

This is common practice in contracts. We have had several football games in the past with our officials on the road v Major Conferences. And today the Big 10 and MAC officials come under the same officials consortiranch both football and basketball. not sure how one can keep leaning on that crutch.
