Boone, NC, is a college town along the lines of Athens. Wish we had them in the MAC, but travel wouldn't work too well for them going north in the winter.
Quite a bit bigger than Athens and a big winter tourist area with ski resorts and the like. Their stadium is really slick looking built into the side of the mountains. And believe it or not, they have an 18 hole golf course. Nice town as is neighboring Blowing Rock.
And as a side note, just as many OU fans like to be referred to as Ohio, our opponent on Saturday is pronounced Appa Latchin State.
Not trying to be picky, but the Geographer in me can't let this go ;)
