The article gives this impression of relief from Dambrot that he's free from the bad apple kids on his roster. Kids HE had to sign off on whether he, or an assistant recruited them.

The ABJ sort of paints a rosy picture of KD in this one, and I'm not sure he deserves it to this degree. What about asking "why did you recruit these guys?", or "why did you continue to put up with these antics for years"??

Dambrot got religion right after the NFL did..... Also a new president up there. Wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Maybe Tree will rejoin his old teammate Alex Abreu at West Georgia. Or maybe he will resurface at Fairmont St (WV).

Don't be hating on Dambrot. The guy can coach and he's proving that this year without his best player.

While this may be true, it's not as if losing Tree left the team thin. They have a number of viable options to plug and play decent basketball. I also understand that they have a pretty solid Frosh PG - something they didn't have post-Abreu. That's a big help.

North Dakota State beats Akron 55-46. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=400586928

It's nice to see a team full of Saul Phillips' recruits beat Akron. A sign of things to come perhaps?

I will not dispute the man can coach.

I question his ethics and judgement.
