KSU used to have the campus TV channel 2 feed with multiple cameras, etc. The online version would substitute the KSU radio feed for the student TV announcers and it wasn't bad. It's a step back this year and hopefully all the MAC schools will be up and running with the ESPN3 broadcasts next season. The ESPN3/WatchESPN feeds this year are excellent. I stream them to my TV on Chromecast (AppleTV and ROKU work as well, too) and it's almost as good as the network feeds most of the time.

Going back and re-reading some of the stories about the ESPN deal, it sounds like it will take 4 years to get all of the conference's schools up to standards to produce ESPN3 broadcasts. I'll reiterate what I said then: Once this system is in place, it will be great -- Every conference game on TV! Every nonconference home game on TV! Olympic sports on TV! -- but until then, this transition period will be rough.

Let's hope our ESPN overlords give us the upgrade for 2015-16.

I agree. I watched the Ball State vs. WMU game after OUrs Wednesday night, and it's broadcast quality was superb.

Can we be safe to assume that our Ohio home broadcasts will no longer be available on the department website once this goes into affect? If so, those of us who only have TWC as their internet provider and not TV are S.O.L. right? Looks like I'll have to re-think my TV or internet choices soon.

I got that feeling too - and why I decided not to go up to the game - because I am such bad luck when at away games! But that means having to endure the screamer on the feed watch......

I decided to listen watch and listen to the game on the Kent State radio coverage. At the risk of sounding like a sore loser I have to say their announcers are really not very good. The one fellow referred to Ohio as OU the entire game which is a huge problem for me. I think it is particularly heinous when a media person from the same conference cannot get it right. After listening to these guys though it might be that they have never read a media guide.

I don't know what to say about the game so I won't say anything right now.

When was the last time men hoops went o'fer January? I hope it doesn't happen, but I'm having a tough time not seeing it based on the schedule the next couple of weeks.
