We might be Fiami's last chance for a win this season. They haven't beaten a MAC team with a winning record, and between the two Ohio games they have Akron twice, BG twice and Kent. Hoping Saul is really chewing some ass in practice before this one. Would like to see Ohio come out fired up and ready.

Some ticket info:

Miami is asking fans to show their love and honor for Coach Coles and to help celebrate all that he meant to Miami University, the Mid-American Conference and to college basketball by wearing his signature red mock turtleneck or a #10 jersey. Fans will receive $5 off per ticket purchased at the gate for wearing either the turtleneck or jersey. Fans are asked to be creative with either option. Those that make their own #10 jersey or red turtleneck will also receive the same $5 discount. Miami Athletics promises to be lenient with the discount for those that partake.

In collaboration with the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Miami women’s basketball hosts the second annual Think Pink game to support breast cancer research. One hundred percent of all proceeds from this game, including ticket gate, will be donated to Luna Cares, and earmarked specifically for breast cancer patients. Special t-shirts are available for purchase to help raise money for Luna Cares. (Complete Release) (Information on Think Pink Game)

February 14 also is a McFamily and Friends Day with a pre-purchase offer that includes four tickets and four McDonald’s Extra Value Meal vouchers for just $30. This ticket package is not available at the gate and excludes any other gameday discounts.

One ticket gains fans entrance to both Battle of the Bricks games against Ohio. Purchase tickets today by visiting or calling the Miami Athletics Ticket Office at (513) 529-4295 or clicking HERE.

I talked with a Miami ticket rep on the phone and was told that if you bought a ticket to the women's game, which is like $7, it gains you access to the men's game, but you must sit in a general admission section (behind the basket) for the men's game. If you buy at the gate, the price will increase at halftime of the women's game. I would have done this if those GA seats didn't suck so hard. Millett Hall, where even the good seats kind of suck.

Didn't they just complete a fairly significant renovation to bring the seats closer to the floor?

I was in Millett yesterday for their career fair and they have replaced all of the lower bowl brownish green seats with bright red ones. Visually, it's an improvement. It also looks like they have done more to put students at the sidelines, but it doesn't look like there have been any structural renovations.

Where is the official or unofficial B/A or Ohio gathering place before the game, particularly the women's game? I'll need to get an adult beverage after driving over from Athens and would like to do so among like minded folk before someone in Millett remembers a distant video. Also, one of the rare times I can actively criticize the officials.

I have a soft spot for Steinkeller, a German-themed basement tavern much like the one in that scene from "Inglorious Basterds."

Just as the Rubber Bowl was the worst place ever know to man for a college football game, Millet Hall takes first place in Basketball

They either have to fire him or extend him and they don't really have the money or the luxury to do either. The 2016 recruiting class is going to be critical for them.

Ugh, that's a worst case scenario. "Louis Orr II: The Thing that Wouldn't Leave"

Maybe they can trick him with an extension that includes a really low buyout.

I doubt there's a mock turtle of any color in all of Oxford. Biff and Muffy always wear cardigans.

Just thinking that it would really be cool if our guys came out in red mock turtles for warmups.

I would be ok with green ones. We don't wear red. ever.

Agreed. Green is a better tribute anyway. Sadly, Stevie and Aaron Fuss are probably the only player or coach that has any real feel for the effect Charlie had on the MAC and Ohio.

Miami has subpar defensive numbers. They lack size. But at times they have played well.

Shocked at their average attendance...around 970.

Best memory of JC was when he wore the turtleneck in the Convo vs Fiami.

I'm a bit worried our relative newcomers, transfers & staff, don't understand how big this game is to the faithful. I think Stevie understands, I think for numerous reasons he should start or at least get major minutes.

The link finally showed up on my Apple TV.

Dear lord we are just not very good at all. We really look like a bunch of spare parts that are just thrown together. 3 coaches in 4 years have taken a toll on our once proud program. I just wonder what next year is going to look like? How long will this rebuild take? Is this program in danger of going the way of Miami? I pray it won't.

Feel free to reassure me that it won't!!! I am emotionally fragile right now! 😊
