Yeah ....

I do not think anyone mailed it in. When Bert ad Ernie were here and had no want to go to Peoria vs Spring break...that was mailing it in. Seen that up several times up close and personal. No one here is mailing it in and I do not think Saul would be tolerant of that. He's not wired that way and he is certainly not going to let anyone bring that into the younger guys.

they are still going to practice and wanting something out of each day on the court. Some motivations are different but I do not see anyone not giving some effort. Some misguided ideas and interpersonal relationships that are clearly evident to anyone watchig that are skewed but they are still working for something.

it is a long week in Cleve when you are done early. Give the young guys support and make sure they know for the years they are here we all stood behind them....win or lose.

I made the dumb decision to drive to Athens for the game. The roads were horrible, but we made it over and back. I don't think the team has quit, but they aren't very much fun to watch. Bean might get hot at times, but I can't stand to watch him play. If I was a post player, I would be furious. It appears he just refuses to pass the ball to the post. Mo's body language in the 2nd half was one of total frustration.

Hoping to beat KSU today; I am confident we will be beating them quite a bit in the near future.

Fortunate to have prior engagements for the weekend or I would have been in Athens with the adverse road conditions.

Confident the team will be much better next year.

I would be satisfied at this point if we could muster up a win against BG that would be some positive momentum to conclude this season. Heck another win or two would be nice at this juncture.

I have a good friend who is a BG graduate. Any win over them gives me bragging rights and counts as double in my scorebook. Go OHIO!

On a positive note, GREAT to see the Hall-of-Famers or their families at halftime, and I wish the drum core joined the dance team for a routine at every home game!

Looking forward to seeing the guys who are "all in" next year. Guys that Saul recruited for "his system".
Put this year in the rearview mirror.
I have a hard time believing this team hasn't mailed it in when I read this quote from our senior point guard following the Kent State loss.
===============================================================

Before he stepped to the free throw line, he flexed both his arms and yelled while being mobbed by his teammates. The dunk and ensuing free throw extended a 15-4 run, during which senior guard Stevie Taylor said the Bobcats “laid down a bit.”

I don't think they're mailing it in. I do think they've lost some of their will.

Yep...just something not right and you get the feeling Coach Phillips is just ready for next season to get here as well. It is what it is.

Those KSU guys, they love them some celebrating. Muscle flexes, primal screams, three point gestures...and KSU superfan behind the bench loved all of it. I am glad that one is over.

Speaking of Bean and assists, did anyone see the "assist" Bean was credited with on Khari Harley's layup (and foul)? He did what he does, which is ignore his wings on a 3-on-1 break to take it right at the defender, who promptly bats it out of his hands but it bounces over to Harley who lays it in.

Yep - he sure did. I heard from a pretty reliable source per a comment from inside the coaching circle about Bean - "He's un-coachable"........

Saw that play too although I don't think it was batted away I think he was going to take it behind his back for a right handed layup and just lost the ball.

From my angle it certainly look like it had been batted, because it change direction rather dramatically. If it wasn't it hit, he must have lost it with some very strange English on it.
