Thanks, Casper71. Now, tell me what are your predictions for the upcoming 2015 football season. Do we have a chance to finish with a winning record with all those walkons, 2 star recruits, and questionable QBs -- not to mention the unimaginative coaching?

You guys are hilarious! I can guarantee you I bleed green and white as much as you do. (I always watch our guys on the tube or internet). Winning or losing doesn't change that.

As for Friday, I just like to work with the facts as they have been this year. Why should anyone feel or say something any different than what I posted given the way this year has gone on the road? I hope the team surprises me but I am not going to bet the ranch on that.

As for football, I figure it will be a lot like it was this year although I forget what the OOC schedule is like. Again, I hope to be surprised!

We're going to win in a blowout? Oh you mean them.

Four more games of basketball this season.

Of course it would be nice to get a tenth win or better yet knock a team or two out of the MAC Tournament. Based upon what we have all seen lately (or the whole season) this season needs to be concluded.

As far as how good or bad the Fighting Franky's are this upcoming season? I don't have a clue and trying to speculate on how good or bad they will be seems to be an effort in futility.

I have faith that Frank will get us a MAC Championship. Well maybe a direct decedent of his.

Why are we speaking of football on the basketball board? All I know the answer.

It's entirely too early for me to entertain football discussion.

As for Akron, maybe we see a turn around, but I have to agree with the sentiment Casper has. I'm watching, I'll just have adult sodas close by to dull the pain if needed.

First game I can make it to this season. At this point I'm just hoping we keep it close.

I'm sayin' we get a win.

3 reasons:

1) I am not going (was planning on up until last night). I am the worst possible luck for the team on the road over the years so I AM NOT GOING.

2) Mo and Stevie. You know they both want to win this. Wanna win it Real Bad.

3) It's 'kron. They are always vulnerable, and their own worst enemy.

And I forgot - Bean's foot in a boot.................

Bean was in a boot against BG. That didn't do much.

You seem to be forgetting that Bean is pretty much the reason we beat Kron in the Convo. Like Saul always says, you have to ride the lightning. Look it up, we have a whopping 4 MAC wins...and in those 4 wins, Bean averaged 22.3PPG. That's with the Buffalo 9 point performance. The other 3 wins were 27, 31, and 22 point games for Willis. As much as he gets knocked around here, when he scores well, it usually means a good chance for an Ohio win. In the 11 MAC losses, Bean has averaged 10.1PPG.

Looks like Zips have lost their Frosh point guard to a knee injury. This could help our chances. They really need a win right now so I am guessing we will get their best effort in their house. Go Cats !

A very good freshman point guard. Amazingly, he's been replaced in the starting lineup by another talented freshman point guard, Antino Jackson.

Perimeter, actually, I am an optimist! But not the OPTIMIST. So, as this basketball season has progressed I have lowered my expectations. That way, after I watch a game a victory or anything less than a blowout will have me jumping with joy:)

LOL, sadly that's how the season has gone for me as well. I consider myself a realistic optimist. Any word on Bean's ankle?

I sure would like to piss in Akron's Cheerios again. We're down and to sweep the zips would be a nice sweet spot for the season. When was the last time we swept those guys?

He played 9 minutes all game. More than half of the first half without him. Let's not make Bean the punching bag this year. Yes he has had bad games but as mentioned has also had good games. There is a lot more problems with this team than Bean Willis. Even look at your second point. Mo and Stevie want this real bad. What support do you have to that claim? Does Bean not want it as bad? Is it not his senior year too?

At the time of Bean's injury, when he was taken down on a made 3-pointer, Ohio led 10-5. Outscored 71-55 the rest of the way without him able to contribute. So yea, we played a lot better with him hurt...

Maybe a little harsh on Bean, but sometimes it's just hard to tell. Per Mo and Stevie I know from their various specific comments over the years about 'Kron.
