This one might get ugly quick if the effort is consistent with our first few games. I understand that our talent might not be as good as we were hoping this year, but last night's effort made me sick. Absolutely ZERO energy. Bean hit some big shots and looked like he could take a nap afterwards. Someone get pumped up and HUSTLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE COURT! I can't stand to watch a team not hustle.

Former Ohio commit Evan Bradds is one of Belmont's major contributors and 2nd leading scorer this year. I hope the O Zone lets him have it. Although most of them are probably at home this weekend aren't they?

I would be guess there would be very few students at the game on Sat. Like the Mercer game last year.

Agree bigtime. I can stomach losing. I can't stand lack of effort.

I can remember being so frustrated watching this game the last go round... They won by 19 or so but, it felt like 40. I want revenge! We can win this game but we need Stevie to get out of his funk... Go Stevie and GO BOBCATS!

See football board for details.

P.S.

Im really excited for this game. When we played them in Nashville for the Bracketbuster we got run out of the building. I'd like to see a no quit effort on Saturday.

I'd like to tell one and all that I wish Evan Bradds well in his future endeavors after tomorrow's game vs. Ohio...

BUT WE CANNOT LET THIS KID HAVE THE SATISFACTION OF PUNKING US IN OUR OWN HOUSE TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

I don't know if this staff is aware of this situation, but if so, I hope that while it may not be a primary factor in the game plan, that at least it's been mentioned.

Just a little fun gone awry. But seriously, I would find it very ironic if Bradds lights us up.

This team needs to begin to establish their identity as we get into the season. I worry that we still do not seem to have that clear-cut leader who is going to "rally the troops" when things get tough and going the wrong way. Anyone can be a leader when the "3-balls" are all going in, and the ball is bouncing our way. Saul was a point guard and leader back in his playing days, so he certainly knows what that is all about, so hopefully he will be able to help develop that personality in one, or a couple of our kids. We will need this development as we get closer to MAC play. Go Cats !

I think we kind of blew it scheduling this game during Thanksgiving break. Move it to next weekend, when everyone will need a break from studying for finals and the Convo would have been packed.

I wish it were later because we clearly haven't found our footing yet and I fear a thrashing is imminent.

Fun fact: Belmont has already played Lipscomb twice this season. The Bruins are 5-1, but their competition so far hasn't been impressive. Hopefully we're a step up. I don't think we can really tell how good Belmont is this year, so I'm not going to assume they're going to kill us. This isn't the team from two years ago.

I read an interview with Geno Aureimma who explained why her never schedules home at Thanksgiving and tries to find a nice warm place for his ladies.

attendance @ Belmont in 2013 was 4,813, I think we'll match that even with the holiday break. Granted their gym holds 5k so it won't feel the same. No word yet if any self righteous musicians will be in attendance to mock the Bruins.

Very happy with the first half effort (minus the first 3 minutes). Still need to get Ndour posted up underneath on every possession. He tends to want to hang out around the arc. Guys seem to be playing with intensity and effort tonight. Win or lose, I can live with that.
