Stevie played with great heart tonight. He left it all on the court. You couldn't ask for more. He'll go down as one of my all-time favorite Bobcats because of his love for OHIO and his never say die attitude. Know, Stevie, that you are beloved by the Bobcat Nation! Come back to Athens often after you graduate and become part of the bleed green alumni club.

To SBH, that's shamefully what you posted. There is a time and place for such criticism (when it's warranted) and I think this thread was neither! I hope you feel good about yourself. Stevie was a good citizen for 4 years and represented the school and program well. I wish he would have performed more consistently but he did not. 2 knee surgerys, a broken leg and several other injuries did not help. You have a right to your opinion and you have a right to post it, but just because you have the right does not mean you have to exercise it. You saw the sprit of this thread and you could have just let it go! Thanks to all the Bobcat Attackers and the true. Bobcat fans! A great experience for our entire family and we will always love the school and community! Hate to post this, but I was just disgusted! Good luck going forward!! Bobcat fans for life!!!!!

Been a great 4 years Pops. Enjoyed your ride and knew it was not always smooth sledding. Injuries and coaching changes are a part of the journey but ST has gone through a ton.

Cat for Life was the tat Tommy felt he had to have. I am sure ST and you are feeling the same way. Cats for Life.

Thanks for the memories. I remember when Tommy came back after the Macker up north in maybe Lancaster and said he had talked to Stevie. He was really excited about the possibility of him coming down. He left a mark. As parents that is all we can hope. That they come, play hard and make us proud and represent to school with class, pride and effort. ST has made me proud. Job well done. Finish it out. That walk in May means everything. thanks.

I agree Bball Jones! Classless cheap shot by that poster!

In getting to know Stevie I have come to realize he is a great represenitive of OHIO University, both on and off the floor. He's been a pleasure to watch these past four seasons. Best of Luck in your future!

Whitehall-Yearling v Bishop Watterson HS tourny game tonight at Gahanna Lincoln. Cool to go look at the school records on the lobby wall and see Stevie's name at the top of the career scoring list. And to see his name on the short "Next Level" list "Stevie Taylor - Ohio University"

I still think it would've been a different season if Stevie had started more. Look at the spark we had at the start of the last two games. The kid is all Bobcat and it was great watching him play the past four years. Best of luck, Stevie.

That is cool stuff. This lead me to a thought, and it's pretty embarassing to ask, because I don't know: Is such a thing shown anywhere inside The Convo?

I am not aware of these type of records list being anywhere in the Convo. Would be a great addition.

Again, I hear Stevie is a really nice young man. Happy he went out with a bang in his last game. Doesn't change the fact that he came into the season out of shape, 10 pounds (more?) heavier and 1-2 steps slower. I was hoping for more this year and thought he was one of those players who would always keep working to improve his game. Seems like he lost the desire heading into his senior season. I agree that he played better later in the season, which could be due to his improved physical conditioning. I wish him only the best.

I wish and thank Stevie for being a solid student athlete for Ohio University.

Being the last remaining player of the Sweet 16 Team is a bitter sweet feeling for me. Kind of like when I left Athens at the conclusion of my third senior year.

Who would ever want to leave Athens?

Part of what makes the undergraduate experience so special (at least in Athens) is it has a limited scope of time. The catch twenty-two is that you have a goal of getting an education, but once you achieve that goal it is time to write the next chapter of your life by leaving. Ever since I have graduated I have a heavy heart as fall and/or spring approaches wishing I could have one more day as an undergraduate in Athens.

College sports is a vessel that enables me to forget that I have left the embrace of Ohio University. When the team has a monumental accomplishment like making the Sweet 16 it makes the overall experience even more rewarding.

Stevie leaving encompasses that the college experience is temporary in nature while eternal in the heart.

Very thrilled to see that Stevie had a career game against WMU. What an appropriate way for him to conclude a career.

I wish Stevie all of the best and am sure he will continue to contribute to the Ohio cause as an alum.

Completely agree! This post hits the nail on the head for describing the passion for Ohio University & Athens that many on here have.
