Do ya think SP will have the kind of second year success Bolden has? Wouldn't that be nice!

I agree. We can have a strong showing for both sports. We have good attendance for volleyball; that can translate over to basketball.

One way to have a strong showing, given our substantial numbers of commuting fans, is to have men's & women's home games as double-headers whenever possible.

The MAC title game was the first women's game I watch entirely since I was a student. I really enjoyed watching them, and would go to more games if it were made possible as part of a true double header on the weekends. To that end, why not offer up a men's/women's basketball season ticket in combination? The ticket office needs to get creative here to get more bodies in The Convo for the ladies. 1,000 to 1,500 per game should be achievable.

Seems to me that not disclosing the new salary/terms, at least during the peak of hiring season, would help Ohio retain Boldon more than it would if it were released now. At least for 1 season.

Agreed!

True double headers aren't going to come back. That decision was made years ago so that both games could stand on their own. Playing before the men amounts to jv game status and after would see a mass exodus from the building. Neither situation is a good one.

I can see Geno Auriemma saying this, but until Bob Boldon, Lynn Bria, etc. say they're opposed, I think playing before the men would be a benefit to their program.

I think it would be a good thing. I'm looking at it from the angle of folks who drive from Columbus an so forth. I'm not driving to Athens every Saturday so I can get to 3-4 Women's games a year. Conversely, if they played at 1pm, and the men played at say 4-4:30pm, I'd more likely consider both. Of course that might require some small concessions improvements if one were to be inside The Convo for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.

CMU did this for Ohio's trip to Mt. Pleasant, and it seemed to work fairly well. Miami did it and, well, we know how that goes.
