It is time for the BOBCAT NATION to say a prayer--------------one a day for Big John.
John starts chemo this week- will continue for 7 weeks.
I have known John since his playing at Bobcat U, We have stayed close thru his entire coaching career. He is now an ass't at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh,Pa. Send a get well card to the big man----USE GREEN INK

Oh goodness, I hadn't heard this news. John is one of the finest people on this earth and I will be thinking of him daily and sending positive vibes. His son and mine were pals back in their Athens days, I coached them in rec soccer and John is simply a class class act. I also had the privilege of watching him roam the paint as a Bobcat and his total career and kindness and parenting make him one of my all time favorites. We will be pulling for you Big John!

Prayer is such a force. I am convinced more every day. And thankful .

Lots of prayers going up from Indiana

My wife starting working at Ohio Northern University the same year John Rhodes did and they sat at a table together and talked (quite a bit about OU) at a new employee breakfast. Months later, she saw him at some other university function, and he approached her excited to see her like she was a long-time friend and gave her a hug. That's what a great, friendly guy he is. We're definitely praying for him.

UpSan, your story about Big John sums up his personality perfectly. Once he met you, your were his friend going forward! He never met a stranger ! Hopefully all Bobcats everywhere have Big John and his family in our thoughts and prayers as he fights his battle. Strength in numbers. "54"

Unfortunate news

Big John was walking in Philly and was run over by a car. He is in the hospital, sketchy details coming out. Fractures, feeding tube. Jackie is heading over from PGH.

Take a minute and raise a prayer for the Mayor. Love ya Big Fella.

This is un-real, and terrible news. Jackie and the kids have gone to Philly to be with Big John. No real details as to is condition at this time.
All Bobcats called on to send our prayers out to the Rhodes family.
