Couple of interesting connections to Ohio:
As bornacatfan pointed out elsewhere, Coach Peckingpaugh of Indiana Tech played high school ball at Muncie Central with Tommy.
One of IndiAna Tech's assistant coaches was a player at North Dakota State for Coach Phillips.

The Techsters are picked as a middle of the pack team in their NAIA Div 2 league, the Wolverine Hoosier Conference. Cornerstone is picked first and they won the national title last season. Tech relies a lot on transfers as is true of most NAIA teams. They recently won their opener over Wilberforce.

Hard to gauge how competitive this team will be vs Ohio. ("Don't overlook this team!" Haha, that's for Ruck and a couple other folks on here.)

This weekend is dads weekend at OU. Why we have it now when we are playing Indiana Tech in an exhibition game vs in Febuary vs Akron or Miami is beyond me.

Highest attendance for an exhibition ever?

Don't get upset about us not having dad's weekend on a big game. I've been to a couple where they have been almost dead silent. The dad's will want to sit/not know the chants/not care.

Money is not worth less because a disinterested person gave it to you.

You have to admit that at least timing it for the first REAL game would be better. I'm really confused on the disconnect between the university and the athletic department on this one.

Plus, the attendance for this game can't be counted for the seasons average I believe. I don't know the inside story but it's a shame this can't be coordinated better.

I'm not sure timing-wise Ohio could have done much better, at least for scheduling Dad's Weekend. It couldn't have been last weekend during Halloween. And having it Nov. 13th-15th isn't optimal either in that it would be less than two weeks before Thanksgiving break, and what Dad's going to travel to Athens when they're going to see their kid in two weeks anyway. It's too bad the basketball season itself didn't start earlier.

I'll disagree here. I think you make it 11/13-11/15. Or, you make it parents weekend, and you move Dad's weekend into football season.

I didn't overlook it. I love that their official mascot name is "Maximum the Warrior."

I like to think Maximum is Xena's hapless younger brother who still lives with their parents.

No webstream? Lame!

I don't need an announcer. Just set up a camera and keep the score.

This will be a good test to see if we've improved on D at all. Indiana Tech has put up more 90 points in each of their contests.

I am most excited to see the new guys..specifically Block, Gollon, Dartis and Jaaron. Everyone points to Kenny as the big X factor but he's coming off a MSU team where he could just spot up and shoot. He is going to have to do more here. Jaaron is the X factor. Tony will be Tony. I want to see if these frosh can shoot like I think Saul guys should shoot!

You can see it live? If you drive across to Athens, I have one extra ticket.
