About that time of year, right?

I got an email from OBC or the AD about their new online ticket system. They had a giveaway for Rio Grande and Marshall tickets... So I know we play them at home this year... Who else?

My recollection is that the schedule usually is complete around mid August, right?

I know we have Florida Gulf Coast at home at some point. I think I remember St Bonnie and Marshall being discussed at Caravan.

UC just released the non-conference part their schedule this week, so I'm guessing we're pretty close on ours as well. I'm looking forward to marking the calendar for November and December soon!

BG gets to host UC with students on campus? I mean, blowout city without Holmes and UC returning so much, but that's a nice get for them.

I bet that our game v an OAC opponent will be a bigger draw.

What I want to know is, how the heck does BG, one of the bottom third programs in our conference, get UC and a few years ago Michigan State, to come to their barn?

What I would do to get those two schools in the Convo!!!!

In a selfish way, I don't want OU playing UC, because I'd be slightly conflicted. Granted, I'd never root against Ohio no matter who we played, but I also really, really like Mick and his Bearcats. Right now, if we played them, it would be ugly just like it'll be up at BG.

BG got to host Michigan State because Tom Izzo is awesome.

As a side note, Judd Heathcote declared he'd never bring a team back to Anderson Arena after Michigan State, ranked fifth in the nation at the time in 1990, lost in that bandbox.

Izzo at least waited until Anderson was sent into basketball retirement.

Maybe it's because UC and Michigan State are extremely confident they can beat BGU even in BGU's arena? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, just positing a very uneducated guess.

For you all who are wiser than me..and you all are, right?...In light of tournament realities and such, if you were scheduling for a major power, would you schedule a MAC team? Would you play the game at the MAC's home court?

At BGSUCKS - sure. UC and MSU prolly get enough in to negate the "home advantage" anyway.

At the Convo - no friggin' way...........

Arkley tweeted the schedule was "essentially" done while there were 4 neutral site games and only 1 true road game. Lots of home games again. I like that.

We're only due for 3 games in the Paradise Jam, correct? That would mean we have one other neutral site game.

Great point.

Cleveland, Cincinnati or Columbus? It could be elsewhere but that seems less likely. I would imagine it is a pretty good opponent also.

It could also be tied to our away game, like a three-team invitational.

BG also once defeated the national champion Loyola Ramblers in Anderson. The BG loss one was of only two in the regular season that year for the Ramblers.

Still no release...

However, the schedule does currently show 4 games for the Paradise Jam and the opening game is against Tulsa.

FGCU is listing "At Ohio" on Saturday November 14th. May have been discussed earlier. If my memory serves me well, it's normal that the schedule doesn't come out until closer to Labor Day, right?

What I find interesting is that Conferences seem to take so long to release schedules.

With so many schools having already released their schedules (at least it seems like a lot have) I would think we could piece together our schedule through that. I would think one of these major sites covering college basketball would have a computer script to do that.
