I wonder how many teams have 5 guys scoring in double figures. I like the balance we have right now. I don't ever remember that we had that before.

I agree, although the flip side of that is that because the 5 guys scoring in double figures are for the most part starters, our bench is woefully short.

I still think we have a deeper bench than in many years in the past. Harley if not starting, Block and Wadly and even Laster are adequate. Don't know enough about Gollon yet. Wadly and Bloch have had some really good stretches.

I'm 65 percent sure William Jessup was a character on Little House on the Prairie. The guy who put shoes on Merlin Olsen's and Victor French's horses or something.

Bobcats 81-59 romp over UC-Riverside. Setty 20 and 10. Treg having a great season for us. Bobcats 20-21 at the line. Only 9 turnovers from the Bobcats and held UC-Riverside under 60. A solid game. 9-3 non-conference record. Not bad for a team with one senior. Losses don't look too bad all three top 100 rpi right now.

Extremely worried just having only our top five players really contributing. We need some bench production and only having 12 points isn't going to be productive during the MAC conference run.

I am not worried at all. Wadly will be more than adequate in MAC play and Block, Gollon and Harley are what we need them to be..minute gainers with some shooting. OUr starters will play a ton of minutes but they will surely be up to the task. Jaaron is the best PG in the MAC, Tone is the best big and Darty the best freshman. Akron has a great team but we have better stars.

Check out the team stats for the teams that played for the national championship last year - Whisky and UK - and tell me how their team stats vary significantly from OUrs so far this year (MPG, PPG, RPG, etc., their top 5 then next 2 as percentages of the team totals)

Agree w RS. It's not a concern to me. If those guys need to score they are capable.

Part of the reason is that when these bench players get in the game, they are not jacking up shots. They are passing to the top scorers.

Couldn't be have clanked 1 more late in the game to get Tony his 10th rebound and keep his double double streak going?! Blowouts are for making decisions solely for stat and accolade padding, come on now.

Yes a win is a win.
KK is not living up to what we were expecting. Period. There is a lack of consistent play.
The bench, as others stated is not contributing either. If we have 1 or 2 starters in foul trouble then we are in trouble. Period.
Now the real schedule begins next Wed. & Sat. as we open conference play on the road.

Another cup cake opponent to pad the coaches record. IF we loose it would be a real embarrassment, because a win is expected when scheduling weak teams.

Is there a point sometime during the season, or next, that you're going to let this go and move on?

Take a look at Saul's NDSU schedule from 13-14, when Saul knew what he had in his team that ended up winning over Oklahoma. At OSU, at ND, at Saint Mary's, at Santa Clara, at Western Michigan. They won half of those. I'm pretty confident he'll "schedule up" in the next couple years.

I literally couldn't care less about the QUALITY of the home schedule this last month, but FFS why is this the first weekend game since Thanksgiving?

I'm in agreement. How is it that more people are worried about the SOS for a team with five frosh, and two soph's more than this? If I were in front of someone with control of the scheduling THIS is a question I'd be asking WAY BEFORE I'd have concerns about the specific teams on the schedule.

No kidding.

That aside, I was going to comment on the bench. I had, and still have some concerns. IMO, all we need from the bench is 1-2 guys who can contribute when the starters are in foul trouble, along with a couple guys who can offer good work on defense, or on the glass. I think we have all those guys, and I think our bench has the potential to be very good. It just seems that the starters are offering much more now that roles have been defined. But in last night's game, Wadly and Harley gave nice contributions. Block has had some nice games off the bench, as has Gollon. I'd like to believe those four will offer a lot throughout the year.

71 really isn't worth responding to, but oh well...

Time and time again, we see transfers come in and take a full semester to get going again after sitting out a year. Jaaron has really been the exception rather than the rule. Kenny has shown he is solid on the boards and defensively. His shot has shown flashes of what could be... Patience is a virtue.
