Saul tried to talk these guys up in the post game last night. But, bottom line, a sub-.500 team that just lost to Fiami. I think a W is expected, and I'd personally like an easy one with the bench seeing a lot of action.

I have no problem seeing the starting five getting plenty of real game experience together - getting into O flow and rhythym - working on D - etc. We only have one starter back from LY - and two transfers playing after a year off. If the next 2 off the bench get 14 mins, another 2 or 3 get 6+ - OK w/me (what happened last night)

these guys took a solid LaTech team to 2OT recently and had really jumped out and controlled the beginning of the game. I expect a win but I don't expect it to be easy.

I think that's exactly why we saw the starters play so many minutes against ODU. I would like to see Gollon get a little more run though. If Simmons or Dartis go down we are really going to need to rely on him.

This is a small team, maybe the smallest team we will face all year. Only 3 player 6-7 or taller and 1 of those gets no PT and the other 2 get minimal time and their scoring is almost nil.
Overall they are a poor shooting team from 2 and 3, and from the line as well.
This should be an easy W unless they have one of those games where they shoot lights out. We all have seen those games when the coach says after the loss "This was one of those games where our opponent shot the ball uncharacteristically well".

They also were within 11 of Baylor with a couple minutes to go. They are capable of giving Ohio a good game, but it's the kind of game that could be an Ohio blowout also.

They pressure the ball and create a lot of turnovers. They are a terrible offensive team but if they can turn us over a lot they might be able to turn those into easy shots. Conversely, their pressure creates a lot of fouls. If we play with our heads up and move the ball well I think we win easily. If the pressure gets to us it might be interesting.

Just saw that there's no webcast tonight. (http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/12161... ) Probably because they couldn't get a camera operator now that the break is here. Too bad.

The write up on this game mentions that Jackson State hit their first 6 shots and that Baylor had 11 first half turnovers- mostly errant passes. So we should do okay if they don't get real hot or we can keep our turnovers down-duh

I thought the exact same thing against Cleveland State.

Is there no webcast because of break or the people doing it or at the bowl game? I hope they're back in business Monday.

Game-wise, we need to get some minutes for someone off the bench with Harley's back problems coming up again. Would like to see Gollon get more than a handful of minutes when someone needs a rest. Maybe Lester too.

There might be more people on the floor than in the seats tonight. They should promote this as pick your seat night.

This would be a perfect discount ticket, family night, holiday game with Santa in the lobby like they've done in the past. Maybe that will be the Arkansas - PB game.

I'll be so glad when we're forced to complete the ESPN3 broadcast upgrade so we don't have to deal with this Mickey Mouse nonsense. No webcast? c'mon.

You all know a ton more specifics about this year's group than I do. But this deep into the season and a home game against a not partic good opponent--we should be in control pretty much through out and win it reasonably decisively. Shouldn't be in doubt over the last 3-5 minutes.

It's time to start coming together.

we're going to struggle in league play if we're not even scoring over 10 points from the bench.

Ohio's doing fine. Remember, this is the team's 3rd game in 6 days. With a shallow bench, the starters are probably playing on fumes. Couple that with virtually no crowd and no fan enthusiasm, Saul prolly just wants to get through this week's games relatively healthy.
