Ruck, even I can't paint ODU as being a good team this year.

This game will also be available on ESPN3.

I'm watching Ohio Dominican vs GVSU right now on the Ohio Dominican website.

I just returned from watching ODU play Grand Valley. Wish I could say there was some hope they might put up a fight but there is no hope. They are small, not athletic. They start 3 guards the tallest who is 6'1". A 6'5" and a 6"8" forward. They made a couple of rallies after falling behind by 12 and 13 points but Grand Valley dominated when it counted. They can't shoot foul shots and get killed inside. Might hit a few threes but that is it. They have lost most of their games this year and are a bad team just as they have been since making the jump to d2. Ohio could beat them by 60 if they wanted too, probably more along the line of 90-55.

This would be a nice game to get some more time for Wadly, Gollon, Taylor, Laster and Dartis. Dartis can play some point and let Jaaron get a little rest. Would be nice to get Kenny some rest from his injury and Tone and Treg some time off. This team is hitting its stride more and more as the season moves on. I think we're still a work in progress but this will be an entertaining game.

They might be able to compete in C-USA this year. The other ODU is the highest ranked team in Kenpom and they are 4-5.

Because of a conflict, I can't get to this game until about halftime. Jeff's telling me it'll be over by then. I'm shocked! I guess there's still the popcorn in the Rohr room as a draw. ;-)

If anyone needs/wants a couple tickets to this, mine are available in the spirit of the holiday season for free. PM me and we'll work out how to get them to you. Most likely, the ticket office will call.

Lots of Freshmen and Sophomores on that roster for Ohio Dominican. They could be a real threat in two years for Jeff McKinney.

I am a big supporter of ODU sports(I'm a supporter of all schools in the central ohio area but one). I follow the panther basketball, baseball and football teams. I wish I could say ODU has finally arrived in d2 but unfortunately in basketball they have a long way to go. I have no idea why they have been able to be competitive in baseball and be a national power in football but that has not translated as of yet to the basketball program. I thought the previous coach might have been let go a little too soon and that has probably put them further behind.

Kaminski was definitely hobbled by the ankle Saturday. Hope it doesn't linger.

If that's the case, I hope they don't play him tonight. A few days of getting healthier is more important in the long run.

Ohio Dominican's roster is loaded with central Ohio players. Despite their losing record, they appear to be building a program the right way. The GLIAC is a tough league, so I hope it works out for them.

This is a good scool academically. Doubt they could get guys in there who aren't interested in school.

ODU is a great school. Until 1968 it was known as St. Mary of the Springs and was one of the elite all girls schools in the country. They still have a ways to go in updating facilities. Unfortunately plans for stadium expansion like at many other schools took a hit with the recession. I don't think they have had the economic problem of many other Ohio small colleges though. If you ever visit ODU the baseball field is a must see. It is located in a valley behind the dorms and school buildings. Nicest college baseball field I have had the pleasure of watching a game at. In 2013 the school also got some national exposure with a regular season football game broadcast from Panther Field.
