Having been unable to get to Athens since November, I'm really looking forward to this one. Here's to hoping the Wednesday night versions of both teams don't show up Saturday. I don't know much about BSU yet. I'm interested to read the thoughts of those who do.

Just looking at the Ball State stats, which by the way, are presented in an easy to read format, they have 9 guys averaging 17 minutes or more a game and none averaging over 27. The one weakness I see is a 69% free throw shooting average. Their .334 3 point defense could be a problem for the Cats. I'm hoping the band and dance team will be in the house Saturday. Otherwise, just another ho hum crowd.

Over under on Tony > 10 minutes we have a chance < 10 minutes is a sure loss.

Saw a few Balls games this year vs pretty inferior comp. They are hustling. Jeremiah Davis came home from Cincy and stepped into a pretty nice role on the floor. Several players playing good fundamental ball. Weber is a Indiana bred formidable 3 ball threat, House plays big minutes off the bench and is a burly space eater. They are playing well as a team and scrappy D is paying off. They defend the 3 well and play the gaps helping out when other get beat.

Whitford is doing a nice job over there. Teague is not playing till next year. They are finally getting pretty competitive again. I like our chances but the guys got to come to play.

I'm curious, why isn't Teague playing this year?

Ongoing situation. Will be better for him to wait as Whitford keeps recruiting behind him.

If anyone needs a ticket and can tolerate the smell of Jackie O's likely coming off of me, PM me. I have a spare as I'm flying solo.

Pretty solid stats overall. They have some guys who can really shoot the three. Opponents FG% slightly under 40%. Assist to turnover ratio over 1.00.

They have a couple of burly inside players in Calhoun and House, but Bradley transfer 7-1 Nate Wells hasn't been an impact player yet.

As the Messenger article pointed out, Ohio will be challenged to defend the three.

Surprised at the 7 point spread, I estimated closer to 2-3.

KEYS TO VICTORY:
1) Play with more intensity
2) Tony stays out of foul trouble

"71", I am with you on the first two points and will add that we had better shoot the ball at a higher % rate, and rebound the ball better than we did at Northern or we will be in deep trouble ! Go Bobcats, get after it.

Just got an email blast from Saul encouraging fans to make it to the game today. Anyone else get one?

I did get the email. Must be a blast to a season ticket (former season ticket) holder or anyone in the database.

I got the email. Apparently only about 3000-3500 actually listened though.

On top of that how is the band not available today? No students either. The Convo has become just another lame Mac venue.

I know that but it's move in day. Dorms are open. We have like 50 people in the student section. Really?

Good win for Ohio. Campbell dominating performance. Simmons another nice game. Setty solid as usual. Those three are the glue to this team. Block injury. Hope it isn't that bad. He was having a real good game until getting hurt.

Word I just got that it's a hamstring. I thought for sure it was a knee. Either way, we are down to a 6 at worst 7 at best man rotation.

Hammy has a better chance of PT working...everyone here follows the talking heads regarding shortening the rotation in conference play....just too bad because Block is one of the brighter spots...Dartis def needs to be more active. Gollon gonna get some run ready or not. May need to get the bigs a little more run...and KK more productive on both ends

If its just the hamstring for Block that is a lot better than what I feared. I was thinking ACL or something major with the knee. If its just a few weeks and he's back by March that wouldn't hurt us as much. Block is a solid guy in the rotation. He has given this team good minutes off the bench. He has made a few nice defensive plays so far this season including the play he got hurt. His size is pretty good at the 3 for a MAC team like Setty. That is huge on the defensive end as team struggle with our length at the three spot.

I can't believe it's a hammy, watching from the ozone I think we'll find out it's his left knee. On the breakaway he planted for the dunk, or at the rim lay-in, and it buckled and he went down. Saul was optimistic in the post game interview that it wasn't as bad as it looked, but obviously he's out for awhile.

A hammy? I hope this story is true but what I saw was not a hammy.
Hope I am totally wrong.

For the second straight game I felt we had outplayed an opponent in the first half but still trailed because we couldn't find the basket with two hands and a flashlight and an opponent was hitting outside shots. Tony was a man possessed tonight but we can't rely on four threes from him every night. Someone else must make shots, but boy we are so much better when he has lots of minutes. Jaaron was terrific getting to the rack but just didn't finish in the first half. He cured that in a big way. We could have put this away sooner but we just couldn't contain their shooters.

Let me be the first one on BA to congratulate Saul on back-to-back 10-win seasons.
