TSU has 12 players on their roster this year that didn't play a minute for them last year. Last year's results are of little relevance this year. With that being said, it's a team we should be favored to beat at home under most scenarios.

Fiami's head coach came from TSU, btw.

TSU is one of the worst D-1 basketball teams in America. Out of four D-1 basketball programs in Nashville, they are the 4th best behind David Lipscomb. Glad for the win, but nothing to get too excited over to be honest.
Just thought we might want to revisit this. Tennessee State is now 8-2 and just beat Lipscomb last night. Their only two losses are to us (94 RPI) and a 3 point loss to a Middle Tennessee State (71 RPI) team that just waxed Belmont last night. Granted they haven't beaten anyone of consequence but they haven't really played a bad game yet. Their 199 RPI suggests that they aren't the dumpster fire that someone had suggested in another thread.

Nice Van. That moment when the reality of "they're not who we thought they were" sets in....

They are going to take some hits and their RPI will slide but KenPom has them projected to win 18 this year with some nice in conference wins. Not bad for a team looking to rebuild and rebound.

Tennessee State is now 9-2 after beating Alcorn State. They play at Illinois State tomorrow night on ESPN3.

Enjoyed this revisit Van. I believe TState is now 12-4 and 3-0 in the Ohio Valley. Lipscomb? 4-14 and 0-1.
