Wayne Martin put up huge numbers vs Loyola MD. 27 pts, 21 rebs. He is one of several Div I transfers on this squad.

Impressive win at Loyola, who is picked to finish middle of pack in the Patriot. While Tennessee State is picked last in the OVC East, the addition of several Div I transfers could help them exceed expectations.

I'd say the key for Ohio is to guard these guys.

There's no power currently on campus as of 10:30 A.M. I don't know if this will affect tonights game or not.

Not entirely true, it's only parts of the campus. I work in the West Green area (near the Convo) and our power has been fine all day.

Other than the "Projected FGCU Starters" portion, I like the analysis. I'd wonder if Tony can get in more than 15 minutes and make Martin and the other bigs work hard on defense.

Hopefully tonight's stream is better than the one on Saturday, which stopped working for me during the 2nd half.

Go Cats!

Mine turned sketchy late in the first half of the TSU game.

29 points from Dartis (17)and Block (12)off the bench. Nice work from line for the Cats. Good come back win down ten with under minutes in the game. These type of games build character for young teams. Team wins on a nite when the upper classmen struggled the freshmen pitch in big time to get the W.

This type of game is like life in the MAC every nite. Teams get more out of a hard fought game then a blowout. The got practice in closing out a game with a little pressure.

Well that was fun. Kind of reminded me of Baron, Tatum and Hicks on the floor for a bit. Block is as quick as a cat and Dartis gets his shot off as quickly as anyone since Jamerson. Those two plus Simmons and Kiminski should be able to shoot 80% plus from the line. Not sure what happened getting down 14 - 0 but it was fun to watch the comeback/claw back. Lots of team players out there which is a refreshing thing to see.

TSU is one of the worst D-1 basketball teams in America. Out of four D-1 basketball programs in Nashville, they are the 4th best behind David Lipscomb. Glad for the win, but nothing to get too excited over to be honest.

They were last year. Let's see how this year turns out before we write them off. They have some athletic ability and they've got a bumch of transfers who are D-1 players. I don't think they're as bad as you think they are. Just saying.

It's a win over a bad D1 team...which in my mind is better than a loss to a bad D1 team.

A lot of people think that they're a lot better than their pre-season coaches poll suggests because of a number of transfers into the team. Last year, they were pretty bad, but then again, so was Ohio.

Last years team would have lost this game by 20+ points. Liked the fact that our "young" team got punched right in the face but got back up and kept fighting. Acknowledged Tennessee St is not going to be a Final Four participant they weren't exactly Hiram either.

Agree with colo. Their new talent i
s good. I don't foresee them finishing in cellar of OVC. Wayne Martin would start for most if not all MAC teams.

It's very refreshing to see the freshmen play with confidence and play well when we needed it. Very, very refreshing!
