While I love my former Bobcat, he's not easy on the ears and he's already dropped one SH*T bomb on the air.

what makes it worse is the announcers aren't even in the building, they're sitting in a studio in Florida, watching it on a monitor.

They're not calling the game, they're commenting on it.

He did have to correct himself when he said "we" when referring to the Bobcats during the first half. I kinda liked it!

I came to this message board to see why Reggie just apologized.....and I believe I have learned why. Call me crazy, but I think these announcers are awesome! They're no Russ Eisenstein, but I think Reggie is doing a great job. I enjoy how much he is loving on the Bobcats. I cringe a little every time the other guy calls it the Convo Center, but overall I like them.

Emptiness behind the hoops has nothing to do with crowd because there are no seats there. It has to do with them moving the band and replacing it with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Emptiness behind the hoops has nothing to do with crowd because there are no seats there. It has to do with them moving the bamd and replacing it with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Totally agree.....too much empty space. Why can't we put small bleachers behind the baskets and put some students there???

Plus Reggie was classy every time the play by play guy tried to egg him on with all the party school stuff. Hope the s-bomb doesn't lead to a firing by espn/disney.

Also unfortunately the crowd noise did not show up well on the broadcast and lighting and sound in general didn't help the TV production value much.

I thought the crowd noise was pretty good. Seemed loud in The ROUndhOUse on Richland at a few points.

It's been almost three months since they settled a sexual harassment suit against Chris Berman, and nothing has happened to him. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2015/11... / I don't think a sh*t bomb on a Friday night game that they don't even bother to (1) send the p-by-p guys to Athens for or (2) have live in-studio guys for the halftime and postgame shows for will matter much to them. They get sh*t bombs and worse from players and coaches all the time.

BTW, Columbus media are suddenly short on Bobcats sports coverage. The new Dispatch owners have cut way back on it. And now that Matt Barnes switched to being the news anchor for the 4:26 a.m. newscast, Ch 4 ignores Ohio (Jared Smalley's a T'erd, you know). At least Dom Tiberi gives us a shout-out on Ch 10.

Keith Morehouse WSAZ channel 3 Huntington said we played at the MAC Center in Kent tonight .. Doubt they sent a news crew to cover here in Athens.. And Keith has called play by play several televised games here .. Yeah

How often does ESPN do this "guys in a studio comment on the game" thing? It was weird not seeing TV guys in the house last night! To me, that seems pretty bush league for moving our game to 9pm on a Friday after the vaunted Iona/Manhattan game.

WSAZ is lazy and unless it's the beloved Terd they won't go more than a mile from the studio's to cover anything.

Channel 10 shout-out might have a lot to do with Joe Brackman who produces a lot of their sports coverage.
