OHIO totally works as a brand. Tom Boeh is not loved here but the move away from OU or Ohio U to OHIO was a terrific one.
Monroe, you better be careful. You actually said something I agree with. That stupid U we throw up on that song drives me insane. Every time we fail to assert ourselves as an institution regarding OHIO as a brand, it drives me nuts.

But everyone already knows that.
THAT was the straw? REALLY?

Glad I'm not the only one.

For a weekend against a MAC leader
This was not a "weekend" game, it was an ESPN-induced gimmick 9pm start. I agree that a Saturday night game (7pm) isn't a bad idea for future years, but playing games at 9pm is awful.

Couldn't have said it better - nothing civil starts at 9. Even Broadway plays are at 7. And speaking of which, if you're in NY in the near future, go see Beautiful The Carole King Musical. Outstanding!

The previous message sounds exactly like something a "Fake Al Swank" account would post.

Looks like Kents PG Xavier Pollard broke his foot Friday night and may be done for the year.

It had a Larry King vibe to it, too.

I really do hate to see this happen to the young man. He was already a transfer and has done really well. Good luck to him in the future and sorry that it had to happen his final year.

Wow, hate to hear that. These kids careers fly by and I really don't wish injuries upon anyone. Hope for the best for the young man.

I won't say it's awful, but the drive home isn't too much fun. I know the attendance number wasn't ideal, but I felt like those in the building were into the game, and the game itself was a darn good one. It was the most fun I had in the Convo this year.

I guess being a slave to television is all the rage. You want exposure, but is anyone really watching on the off-nights that the lower conferences get to play on TV? Just look at most of the MAC Tuesday football contests. Has playing those games elevated the stature of the MAC or any of it's teams? Back in the day we played home MAC games at 7pm on Wednesday and 3pm on Saturday. Is being on TV more important than drawing your local fan base?
