Seems weird that Ohio is playing these guys again so quickly, especially since they haven't faced any other MAC East opponents except BG even once.

Turnovers, too many fouls, and the three high scorers for them were all guards.

Ohio should be able to dominate the paint and the glass as long as the bigs can stay out of foul trouble. And the D needs to be tightened up on the perimeter.

I gotta think Laster might get more minutes this game to help on the defensive end. He provided some good minutes late against Toledo after Williams got on a roll. I wouldn't mind seeing some more offense/defense substitutions late in the game with him coming in for Jordy.

Statistically, nothing jumps off the page at me for Kent. They average 3 scorers in double digits - Pollard, Hall, and Kellon Thomas. Spicer and Ortiz are fairly proven big guys down low, so we'll have to get some quality mins from Wadly and hope Tony stays out of foul trouble. Otherwise we could get worked down there.

I think we match up pretty well against these guys, especially at the Convo.

And don't forget that Jordy was injured the first time around..not that he's a lockdown defender but he surely is someone that will be able to slow some of Kent's guards down. If our guys aren't fired up for this one we are in trouble. But to even up at 4-4 would be awesome.

I hate scheduling like this, maybe because I'm a Libra and we like things balanced. We have Kent twice in two weeks, and the same for Buffalo and Fiami. twice about two weeks apart each. It can be a disadvantage to either team because you might be getting them for both games at an exceptionally good or an exceptionally bad time.

Sort of reminds me of the old B10 scheduling when they really had only ten teams and played each of the other nine teams twice. After playing each team once they would simply reverse the schedule; they played the 9th opponent in the 10th game, the 8th opponent in the 11th, the 7th opponent in the 12th, etc. They wound up playing the same three teams twice in about a two-week period.

Can this schedule be right? Only a handful of games being played Friday and Ohio is the only one playing in the 9pm slot. Hopefully that ups the viewership a little bit.

KK torched Kent in the first half of the first game, but didn't do a whole lot after they keyed on him in the second half. I suspect he won't get a lot of space unless other guys are hitting and/or our inside game is working. It will take a full team effort to beat the Flashes.

I don't really care what type of game it is -- slow and boring or fast and exciting as long as OHIO ends up on the long end of the score.

2 pt. favorites? Wow! Cat's must control the athletic Kent guards and stay out of the Linda Ronstadt defense we saw at Kent. Dartis and Laster could play a big role in this one, especially on the defensive end of things. We must control their dribble drives and Board ! Go Cats !
