Why blame the refs for a total meltdown? This is embarrassing, win or lose.

An improved likelihood of that happening would accompany a culture with defense at its core.

Those last ten minutes were another learning experience for this team. We got out with a W and a split on the road trip. 3-4 in the MAC. Now we got three at home and perhaps this team handles pressure a bit better. We were very tight those last five minutes.

17 assists for Simmons? What is (or was) Cooper's single game school record?

We blew a 19 point lead in 5 minutes and 13 seconds. Why were we playing at such a fast pace with that lead. It looked like we were trying to put up 100 points instead of focusing on putting the game away. 19 point lead under 9 minutes left requires using a little clock. This is the MAC and weird stuff like this game happens.

We did blow the lead but more importantly we held for the win! This should be one to build on and let's go protect the Convo for the next 3. If we can sweep them we are looking at 6-4. Tough task though because all 3 are solid.

When this team is locked in - watch out. Great to see Kaminski shoot well throughout the entirety of the game. Some HUGE plays from Tony down the stretch, those steals were just fantastic. And of course Jaaron played a tremendous game in so many ways (except at the FT line).

Thought Laster had some productive minutes off the bench as well. Seems like Saul really has found good spots to use him. He has brought hustle, defense, and some rebounding when we lose focus recently. Dartis also, great to see him drill some 3s.

Jaaron played all 40 minutes tonight, by the way. No Harley - he continues to be a question mark.

17 is also the MAC single-game record, per this:

Jaaron is easily the best player on this squad. I don't know how well the rest of this season will go, but i'm excited for next year having everyone play with a solid year together under their belt.

Thats a big time win. Maybe a turning point?

What an incredible game of runs on both sides. Basketball is crazy.

Agreed . . . but he probably won't make first-team All MAC that the end of the season.

Mike Tyson had a saying,I'm paraphrasing :Everyone has plan, until they get pucnhed in the face.

To me,last Saturday's game was a punch in the face.
It will be interesting to see how the team reacts.
Looks like we picked ourselves up off the canvas and threw some heavy punches. We grew up and gained some confidence tonight. More road wins will come easier now.

I think what we saw last night was a complete microcosm of this team and this season. They played some of the best basketball I've seen all year and shot the lights out for a good 25 minutes. The other 15 minutes, with a little help from hometown refs, were absolutely dreadful. This is a big win and confidence booster for this team.

Re: refs
They were terrible. No other way around it. Remember that play where Tony was running the floor, caught it mid-stride and got an easy deuce they called a travel? Sure, I'll give them that. But if you call that you have to call a travel on Toledo's Williams when he did his do-si-do spin down the left side of the lane where he took what looked like 3-4 steps. Where's the consistency?

And Tony wasn't playing hardly any defense at all, yet any time Boothe initiated contact he got the call. WHY? The one time, it looked like Tony just let him have the layup and they still called the foul. It was ridiculous. But when Jaaron gets in the lane because he toasted the Toledo PG he doesn't get one? Cmon.

KK was absolutely raining three's last night, but I'm worried he looks for his shot a little too much at times. I even caught myself saying "has he passed the ball tonight?" Still, if they're gonna leave you that open from where you've already hit, may as well try again.

I think my favorite part of this offense is that it seems like Ohio has at least 3-4 guys who can shoot from deep at any moment. With the starters, there are five.
