Utah plays tonight at 9 on ESPN. Not sure if JP is on their summer league roster, but assume he is.

He is on the Summer league roster. I checked two days ago so hopefully nothing changes.

Just watched the second half. Jason didn't get in, but I saw him on the bench. Don't know whether he played in the first half. My guess is since the Jazz knows exactly what they have in Preston, it's not a priority to get him minutes in the summer league this year. Guessing they have him on the roster to help with practice and to help with the new players.

On the other hand, the Jazz did play Keyonte George, who was a regular for them last year.

Little disappointed he's not getting the ability to showcase his skills, even for another team. They only played two true guards all game. Collier (29 mins) and Keyonte.

Sensabaugh, Keyonte, Lofton (15 mins) all got time.

Something else I never noticed, they get TEN FOULS in Summer League. Couple guys had 7.

I gotta think he's more of a mentor type role for this team. He was one of the best in the G League last year so I can't think of a reason they won't keep him around.

I think Preston ended up with 10 points on three 3's, and he had several assists. But Utah played awful.

Jazz have a ton of guys on their Summer League Roster - looks like they are really spreading the minutes (e.g., George did not play last night). Also can't read a thing into summer stats - an even worse indicator of talent/value than the G League. But fun to see Preston on the court regardless.

Have been watching Utah vs Sacramento tonight. Preston not playing. Not with team for personal reasons. No mention of him at all by anybody. There was a graphic with the projected depth chart for the Jazz and Preston's name wasn't on it.

Yeah, I would be surprised if he made the roster. Which is a shame he's not even being given minutes to showcase himself for a trade or something. He's a great distributor, certainly a G-League wizard, but I hate to see him just running things in the G-League just to elevate their other long-term plan players.
