Home game v Morehead State Wednesday? Can't imagine traveling west or western teams traveling to Athens.

last 2 games tonight are-

#233 E Washington
#118 Nevada

#126 Vermont
#287 Seattle

If Vermont wins @ Seattle it would make sense for them to stay on the West Coast with the next game on Wednesday. The only way I see Morehead not coming to Athens is if none of the other teams want to host a home game and OU and Morehead end up hosting the two late game winners. Highly unlikely though. Hopefully some Morehead fans can make the trip to Athens.
The CBI has to be praying Nevada and Vermont win tonight. They have to be scared to death that Seattle or Eastern Washington might make the finals.

Front splash page of OhioBobcats.com says Morehead State Wednesday at 7:00.
Makes sense. Three of the other four teams are Western teams, and Vermont is playing out West, so if they win, I'd assume, they'll just stay out there for the next game two nights from now.

Interesting quote from the Morehead State board:

"No guarantees, but it looks like we get Ohio next, a game Most of us have wanted for years."

The closing run was undeniably thrilling. But for most of the game I found myself thinking: In game 34 we are witnessing what we saw so often during the first 33 - matador defense.

Next season? Unless Coach Phillips demands - demands - consistent in-your-face defense, we can expect pretty much a replay of this season.
I don't know if the D down the stretch tonight started with Dartis but he was nose-to-nose with his man for the last 8 min or so. About the first time I've seen that from Ohio all season long.

Just got the kids to bed so I turned on the Vermont-Seattle free feed from the WAC. Seattle is playing these games in the smallest arena I've ever seen. It can't seat more than a thousand. 8 rows total behind each sideline and four behind the baskets.

Flipped over to the Nevada-Eastern Washington game and low and behold the starting PG for EWU is our old friend Austin McBroom. He's on his 3rd school after transferring from CMU to St. Louis.

Hey, what was the atmo-sphere in The Convo when OHIO made it's closing run tonight?

Any noise, anyone get excited?

Sorry that those who have thrown in the towel on the season missed a great comeback, Jarron setting a new record for season assists, Dartis adding another cold-blooded chapter to his story, and a player from down the bench, probably "#9" or even "#10" on the depth chart, getting significant minutes and being a defensive difference maker down the stretch - Harley.

You guys missed it, was a great crowd and Convo memory and I was very glad to be there. I also enjoyed the win on Sunday, am looking forward to Wednesday, and only wish I could get off work to be in Philly on Thursday. Go Bobcats.

Most of the game was pretty ugly - but that last 5 minutes was intense - and fun!

For all the CBI "haters" - w/o this game Jaaron does not set the OHIO & MAC record for assists in one season - and in one less season game than DJ had in 2010/11.......

Remember that when you get a chance to personally congratulate Jaaron (but I guess that won't happen for you at a game this season......)

Not sure what announced attendance was- but I haven't seen the lower bowl that solidly packed in a long time.. Those cheap tickets are being taken advantage of. Great crowd for a Monday night post season game... And we get another one Wednesday . Jordy was CLUTCH!!! Congrats to Jaaron on breaking the assist record. I'll be buying my season ticket seats in the am before they go on sale to the public . Go Bobcats!

This one gave me quite the scare!

Jordy has been SO clutch this season. What a shot tonight. Against Albany it was Treg putting the team on his back, tonight it was Jaaron. That was a sight to behold. We erased that deficit in what felt like seconds. Really amped up the defense at a time when UNCG finally went cold.

Amazing game. Postseason Cats basketball at the Convo is something special!

Lower bowl attendance easily the largest this year and probably for several years, what a difference that makes in atmosphere. Also shows how many season ticket holders in the Old Zone just don't show and don't bother to share their tickets, through resale or otherwise. How do other, similar arenas deal with this?

I know what you're saying but with the amazing UNI collapse this weekend I was well aware how fast a lead can disappear. We got the mojo thanks to Jordy and Jarron and the Convo was rockin' and it was over.

I guess sometimes you keep playing games, sometimes you keep playing a given game no matter how much you can't seem to get traction...and then instant classic happens.

I hope the athletic department is looking at some way to keep the lower bowl filled.

Of course, I'm sure winning is the biggest answer but I believe making resale more convenient is a big factor.

With electronic tickets, there are lots of options out there. I went to Ohio games @Akron and @ The Q. @Akron I downloaded QR code to my phone. At the Q I used the flashseats app.

I plan on looking into getting my Ohio season tickets on my phone next year for both football and basketball. It is much easier for me and much easier for me to send tickets to someone else if I can't go. I use my phone for plane tickets, banking and plenty of other things. Sports tickets are a natural extension.

I hope we never see that officiating crew again. I saw on the UNCG board they were griping about them but they were awful both ways. They allowed muggings under the basket but lay a hand on a guy 15' away from the paint and it was called. And how was Burgess not t'd up for decking Treg to the floor in plain view of everyone? I saw it plain as day, he sidestepped towards Setty and swung a forearm intentionally knocking him down. Refs go to the monitor and...just a personal foul. What a joke.

Awesome flurry to the finish by our guys, though. Jaaron simply took over. Jordan was clutch. Tony had the quietest 17/19 game in the history of basketball. The atmosphere was electric late in the game, and I hope we can bring that intensity for 40 minutes against Morehead.

By the way, as much as I have defended him all year, we were a better team late last night with KK on the bench and Khari in the game.

We're talking about 1500-2000 people actually in seats, but much more noise than many 5-6k crowds that we had earlier in the year.

They were but if the calls had been reversed we would be furious as well. Tony hammered their big guy across the arms on a short shot when they were up 2 with just over a minute to go. He did everything wrong and it was a clear foul and they still let it go. Tony then gets the call on the other end and sinks both free throws to tie it. It doesn't matter to a fan that there were just as many bad calls against us, just that at a critical moment of the game we got away with one. If we had lost the game on a similar call this board would be livid. That's not to say that we still don't win the game (he's not a very good FT shooter) if they do get the call but it definitely was a swing.

Honestly, you've got good ideas on this. I'd send a note to someone in ticketing and marketing about this. I know they don't read the board religiously, they may not realize there's real interest in the concept. I would buy some unused ones for a couple games just to see a game from a different seat in the building.

Since the foul was so blatant and the refs spent so little time reviewing the play, my guess is there was no camera shot of this since the foul was away from the ball. Anyone know?

What's the benefit to ticket sales in the athletic department helping facilitate resale? The only thing the athletic department could and should do to keep the lower bowl filled is to make those seats available on a single game basis. Resale should stay between ticket holders and your sites like Stubhub and VividSeats.

Agreed, total inconsistency on both ends. There was another play RIGHT IN FRONT of the baseline ref late in the second half when the ball was on the floor, there was a scrum and the UNCG player was fouled probably three times with no calls. One of the fouls was Tony blatantly reaching up from the floor and just grabbing the players wrist.
