Reading the few turd posts about this game ,It's amazing how Marshall fans continue to think that they should beat Ohio ' just because they are Marshall'. And How CUSA is better than the Mac . When was the last time Herd basketball made the NCAA's? When have they made the sweet 16? Herd fans are delusional. Their teams stink.
Marshall fans are unintentionally hilarious.

Marshall fans continued meltdown over this past football season has now reached epic status!

As for the basketball game tonight, I'm anxious to see what the status is KK and Dartis.

Had a lot of fun reading through the meltdown. As for tonight, do not like our chances without those two and Dartis in particular.

I try to follow all 'Cat-related news as closely as possible. I was unaware that Dartis' status is questionable for tonight against Marshall. I am driving down to Huntington and thought Kenny was our only question mark. If someone could clue me in, I would be grateful. Also, has Kenny been practicing normally this week? Again, thanks for any updates.

Dartis had the flu and missed practice on Monday. KK practiced on Monday, but is still up in the air if he plays. I think they want to make sure his shoulder is fully okay as it is the same one he has been having issues with his entire collegiate career.

The spread now shows us as a 1.5pt underdog.

I'm not sure of Kenny or Jordan's playing status, both I think are game time decisions, but I believe Saul has put Culver in the starting five. The "other" Jordan had 38, 7 and 5 with the flu in the 1997 NBA finals. Just sayin'.

We did a brief preview: http://saulball.com/2016/11/preview-ohio-marshall /
While they were without their starter Ryan Taylor (suspension) against OSU, I doubt his presence would've had a huge impact on the outcome of that game.

I'm a little surprised this hasn't moved more in our favor. We whooped them last year and beat the spread against GT in our only other road game this year.

Everything I've read online has indicated KK and Dartis are expected to play but we won't know with much certainly til tipoff.

Close friend and h.s. teammate of Dartis, now the 7th-grade boys basketball coach at middle school where I teach, told me after school today that Dartis has the flu but will try to play tonight. We both joked that Michael Jordan had some of his best games while under the weather.

As somebody who works in TV, This C-USA web broadcast is terrible. It makes me long for the 1 camera Ohio Feed from last year. I'm pretty sure we have missed every Ohio bucket in the 2nd half while they were showing Marshall replays. Somebody please remind me to never pay $7 to watch this crap again!

At the game and let's just say it's a disappointing performance. Then again by the reaction of the crowd it's obvious this is their Super Bowl! :)

Need Simmons to find his MoJo offensively and soon. Not clicking to start the season that's for sure.

I requested my money back. See what happens, but it kept locking up and was choppy. My computer crashed in 2nd half and then it wouldn't let me back in.

Agree on that. It's been a great start for Tony and Jordan. Giving up 98 points isn't ever going to get it done though.

Not the kind of performance we expected, especially considering Marshall got drubbed by 40+ points to an Ohio State team that is good, but certainly not great.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the late Coach Rick Majerus of Ball State fame, but he did know how to deliver a message. I seem to recall him blowing a gasket over a so so performance mid way through the 2nd half in an early season game in which his team was expected to do very well. He got a technical--might have received 2 and was thrown out, replaced the starting line-up and got in everyone's face, including players on the bench.

It was the last sub par game of the season. I believe that might have been the season they went to the Elite 8. Just throwing that out there, we are much too good to play this unevenly, haphazardly and uninspired.

Losing to Marshall, after they just got destroyed by OSU...is a tough pill to swallow regardless of the details.

Grumble grumble.

We worked waaaay too hard to find open shots. Meanwhile, Marshall spaced well, penetrated, sucked our guys in and kicked for open threes. Their looks came too easy. It's evident there is still plenty of room for improvement on D.

Took me a minute to figure out I had selected the "Listen" mode - not "Watch" mode so I was seeing nothing but the ads for a while too

Simmons was not effective tonight - no breaking down the D

Tone was not aggressive posting or getting into the paint - until Way too late in the game

D was not sharp

Hope some lessons learned - and coaching directives follow

Bobcats give up 98 points on 82 possessions (1.2 per possession). First time they've allowed over 1.0 this year. But this is obviously the best offensive team they've faced.
