Where did you see the one game subscription? I only see a one month option that automatically renews and you must cancel = bigger pain.

This game scares me. Never an easy game when the Bobcats head to Huntington. Marshall is a smallish team that runs an and launches a billion 3 pointers. The Bobcats need to control the tempo and Simmons needs to keep his turnovers to a minimum. I'm hoping that our team isn't looking at Marshall's 41 point loss to OSU and thinking this will be a walk in the park because it won't be. Tony also needs to show up and play. The one beef I have with Campbell is that he can disappear during long stretches of a game. Tenn Tech is a perfect example.

Again some of us Bobcat fans that re attending plan on meeting at Fat Patty's around 5-5:30 for some beverages prior to the game.

Is Chuck Landon on suicide watch after this weekend's combined 95 point losses in basketball (41) and football (54)?

I agree. This will be one of our toughest road games of the season. Marshalls loss to OSU was an aberration.

Even though I will be attending with a Marshal alumni/fan, Fat Patty's sounds like a great option. We should win this game if our expectations are correct for this season. In my humble opinion, anything less will be a major setback. I like our chances a lot. Go 'Cats!!!

Depends on Kenny's status. The pace alone is going to be a test for our shortened bench. Marshall's style is a trap for younger players to get caught up in the up and down play. On talent alone we should win but there are a bunch of intangibles built in to this. We just need to make sure we don't try to beat them at their game and just play ours. Easy to say, harder to do because the Herd style is so fun to play.

I totally concur. I have seen many experienced and well coached teams fall into this trap I am so glad we don't have a quick turnaround before this game. Coach Saul will have extra time to prepare the troops for Marshall's frenetic style.
Additionally, we have to hope that this extra time will be beneficial to Kenny's therapy.

Something else about Marshall offensively. They aren't just three point shooters, they are very skilled with the ball, good at taking people off the dribble and finding open threes if there is help defense. This will be our biggest test of the season so far for our improved defense.

Defensively, they can get stops at times, but sometimes they look like Toledo and give up some easy stuff.

I just remember they got a ton of good looks last year against us. Their guys killed us coming off of screens all over the place. Luckily for us they stopped hitting the shots at the end of the 1st and most of the 2nd half. They kept having a guy sprint to each corner along the baseline. Then have those guys cut back to a waiting screen that would give them an open shot at the elbow. I went into that game thinking they were running a joke offense but came out of it thinking that he got the right players D'Antoni might be able to get it to work.

And when they played us, they didn't have Elmore. When he joined the team, they became much better overnight.

Hopefully, the improved D will show up for us.

So losing on the road to the best team we've faced this season would be a "major setback?" Geez.

Per Arkley....

Kaminski returned to practice today. But Dartis missed practice with an unspecified illness. Both are listed as questionable for Marshall.

I will feel better if one of those two can play..I will be more happy with Jordy being able to play due to his defense and ballhandling. What is nice about this year's team is that we will have a fighting chance without either just because we can start Culver and Carter and still have DT, Laster and Harley off the bench. I don't know how much Khari can give us but add in some minutes for Dozier at the 4 and who knows..more depth?

Unless the flu knocks out 4 guys, I don't see how Harley and Dozier get anytime this year unless it's garbage time minutes.

Harley will get some minutes but you seem to have not liked him for quite some time.

Really? I have nothing against him at all. Saul has made it pretty clear what his rotation is at this point of the season. It will take an injury for one of these guys to get serious minutes. I think anyone can see that following the team.

Has anyone else noticed Khari's body language from last year and into this year? I can feel for him having started games previously and then to become just a seat stuffer but he never seems to be having any fun. I was at the Tennessee Tech game..got to go for warmups early and that's when guys' true colors show. They are goofing off, high fiving, dunking and whenever I saw him he seemed distant and just not a part of the team comradery. Like I've said before, he should be partying in the streets for that scholly as a last-minute addition his freshman year.

I have noticed but I'm not sure I agree with your assessment that he should just be happy to have a scholarship. These kids are all competitive and confident in their abilities. Basketball has been a huge part of their lives since they could walk and it's a hard thing not only not being top banana anymore but not even seeing the court. I guarantee in his mind he thinks if given the chance at regular playing time we would be a better team. And he should think that. He also should be looking at ways to improve so that he does see the court more often. I can also tell you that if I was his coach I would pull him aside and tell him he's not seeing the court until he stops pouting. He may not even know that he's doing it.

Can we make this game at our tempo, perhaps a bit more toward inside banging being effective (points, rebounds, defense) by Campbell and Taylor?

Reading the few turd posts about this game ,It's amazing how Marshall fans continue to think that they should beat Ohio ' just because they are Marshall'. And How CUSA is better than the Mac . When was the last time Herd basketball made the NCAA's? When have they made the sweet 16? Herd fans are delusional. Their teams stink.
