If we're just going to punt this game with Clayton sitting on the bench, I want to see some Evans and Kuany in the game. Some Ben Nicol also.
I agree. Get AJB, Reef and Searls out of there. Two straight games of no effort. I can understand the injuries but the effort sucks. Memphis Sheldon is dead. Vegas Vic hates boxing out. Brown wants to be a spot up shooter. Free Nichol. Free Kuany. Hell, free Estis.

If we dropped football to FCS we maybe could win more games. Someone has said on this board over the years.

Lights going out would be the best thing that could happen tonight.

Idiot announcers praising how EMU is keeping AJC in check, with only 3 pts and 1 reb
They've shut him down in the second half.

Sheldon losing all feel for shooting this year is very reminiscent of BRod losing his stroke his last two seasons as a Bobcat.

Three guys basically out tonight: Chaos, Elmore and Clayton (mentally or sick/hurt?) and Ben Nicol still can’t get any minutes down 20 against EMU. Hard to believe he will be in Athens next year.

No inside game.

No athleticism.

Bad combo.

Pavs does a lot of things well. He does a lot of things not-so-well, too.

But he's also basically our 4th best guy. So anybody watching this team that thinks he even warrants honorable mention for the biggest problems facing us seems pretty off-base to me. We had three guys on pre-season all mac teams -- Pavs wasn't one of them.

Our senior captain and pre-season 1st team all MAC guy completely disappeared against Akron.

If Searls is the " #upgrade " it would be depressing to see what the " #downgrade " would be.

Just two games ago, Claytong was doing the Michael Jordan shrug.

Reminiscent of Gavin Block pulling arrows out of his quiver en route to back-to-back 14-17 seasons under Saul, averaging 6-7ppg.

Searls is not a good defender and rebounds his position very poorly. He is what he is, but if we need 30 minutes a game out of him our defense is going to suffer. And we weren't a good defensive team to start with.

If Hadaway is out for an extended period of time, we're in a lot of trouble.
Theres a reason he was at ASHLAND.

Our roster deficiencies are showing in the worst way tonight.

A continued extended absence of Hadaway and Elmore (he might be gone) is going to be painful.

There goes Pav again, dribbling, full-court trying to put a shot up. Great team basketball.
Pavs has the highest assist rate on the team by a huge margin, and without him the ball basically doesn't move. The idea that he's a selfish player is insane, and hI have no problem with somebody -- anybody in this game trying to make something happen right now. Nobody is stepping up and trying to lead this offense.
He's especially good at dribbling in a circle down low with his head down. the fact he may be the best point guard we have is an indictment of the staff, not his effort.
Is it an indictment on the entire MAC as well? Because he's 4th in the MAC in Assist/TO ratio and 2nd overall in APG.

It seems an ESPN+ camera person knows Clayton riding the bench is a story. The 2 announcers, however, have no clue Ohio's best player has been MIA since the early goings.

Clayton performance tonight is just like the Michael Jordan flu game against Utah.

Miss rebounds, fumble the basketball, look like a deer on ice skates, and turn the ball over?

Wiz turnover rate last year: 17.5%
Vic Searls so far this year: 22.9%

We -- very, very desperately -- need a big who can impact shots at the rim, hedge on a pick and roll and recover, and rebound his position reasonably well.

We don't need an offensive minded big who is our 7th best offensive player.
