Anybody got a line on this one yet? Interested parties in Tennessee and Connecticut want to know.

Is the weather a threat to the game happening?

It's just cold, as far as I know there is no snow forecasted.

These guys aren't a bad team, similar to the CMU game where you just want to survive with a win and get back to Athens.

Torvik predicts Ohio 81-73, 76% chance of win.
Haslem predicts Ohio 80.9-72.0.

Neither accounting for a possible Hadaway injury or James departure FWIW.

As accurately estimated above, Ohio is an 8.5 point favorite tonight. The over/under of 153 seems low to me given our last 4 games.

Very interested to see if Elmore is in attendance. I would be absolutely shocked if Hadaway played tonight but I am hoping one of the broadcasts will give us a decent update.

I missed where Elmore got hurt. What happened? How long is he out?

I know people are probably tired of me saying it, but I'm sitting Hadaway until he feels 95%. We rushed back AJB and Elmore came back and forth a few times playing hurt neither have looked the same.

Just a huge bummer we never put Evans in a position to really get his feet under him.

No time like the present.

Elmore isn't hurt. Just taking time away from the team.

Now that the gambling companies know EMU is shaving points in the first half, they will be under pressure to play well as a cover-up. This will backfire and the stress will get to them. We will be up 30 by half!

Robert Keegan on Twitter said he would be surprised to see Hadaway or Elmore tonight. That makes it tough but I think that we have some depth. I truly believe this team is still alive in the league with Clayton, Reef, Brown and Pavs joined by, and don't call me crazy, Evans, in the starting lineup with Vic, Elliott and Sheldon off the bench. Depending on if Hadaway is out for a while do you think of pulling Kuany's redshirt? Is he even that good to be playing right now anyways? Lots of questions. I definitely LOVED our depth with Elmore and Hadaway but I feel like this team will be ok without them for the short term.

I still love what Sheldon can bring to the floor. If he can just start knocking down a few more shots, he can be a big x-factor. His defense and spark is just what we need at times, really hoping he can take a step forward and embrace this opportunity for more minutes.

Former EMU coach Ben Braun did color commentary on a recent EMU home game on ESPN+. His 1990s Hurons were as good as any MAC team over the last 4 decades. If Stan Heath gets caught up in any investigations, or if EMU lets him go due to performance, I wouldn't mind seeing Braun back leading EMU. The MAC is in desperate need of quality coaches back on the benches.

I'd say the bottom half of the MAC is. I think we have a nice core of competence and experience with Boals, Groce, Tod K, Senderhoff, & Steele.

I'd MUCH, MUCH rather have that freshman at Akron. No comparison.

Ohio is putting zero effort into playing defense tonight. They might lack the athletes without James/Hadaway but this is ugly. EMU won't be able to keep this up the entire game though.

Who Guaranteed this win? We’re gonna give up 50 at this rate by half. They will keep it up if we don’t play some defense.

We still have NO ONE who can step up when we need them. We have nice players but no Alphas. Elliott is closest thing right now. Clayton disappointing again. Brown, who said he was an NBA prospect? And where is Memphis Sheldon? Dang.

Three possessions in a row… The guards get the ball dribble down the court and shoot. That is not team basketball.

ZERO boards for Vegas Vic? Even a 5 foot guard lucks into a rebound in 15 minutes.

So did we just quit?

No energy.

Not engaged.

Think about it. We trailed by 17 points in front of 50 people to a team that shaves points. We gave up a 50 burger in the first half. Can it get more embarrassing?

As for Clayton, no words. What is he….2 for his last 20? And when he struggles offensively, he refuses to try and get points inside the paint. And he has no fire at all to him.

Where is the leadership?

It doesn’t exist on this team.

Your Vegas Vic is the least of our problems. We didn’t expect that much out of him. It’s the rest of the people that have sucked really bad this game.
