Anyone know if we can watch the game via the WatchESPN app or if this ACCExtra is something different you have to pay for?

For those of you wondering the same thing as me...yes, we can get ACC Extra. If you go to Watch ESPN APP or on-line and select channel and then select ACC Network Extra.

I've already looked out to Friday and this game shows up as an upcoming event on my app, so barring any technology issues this game should be viewable.

Georgia Tech played Southern last night, a 77-62 win. (Link below) They also have a 70-55 win over Tennessee Tech.

They haven't been shooting all that well in the first two games from 3pt range or the foul line. But their overall FG percentage is 52%. I'm guessing without seeing any of the tape they've gotten a lot of easy inside buckets?

Also 27 turnovers in the first two games combined. They've actually had more than their opponents so far.

Blocks: 25 on the year already. Whooooaaaaaaa boy.

Currently ranked 99th by KenPom. Ohio is 97th.

Ranked 201st in Adjusted Tempo. Ohio is 74th.

Familiar face on the roster: Kellen McCormick former WMU Bronco.

Also Stan Heath's kid Josh is on this team.

What is adjusted tempo? Not familiar with that term. Also, after reading an article in The Atlantic today about gambling, for those of you in the know, how much do these "statistics" play in the line setting process?

As is former EMU Eagle Jordan Price. Heath won't play though as he's suspended for two more games I believe.

AdjT – Adjusted tempo – An estimate of the tempo (possessions per 40 minutes) a team would have against the team that wants to play at an average D-I tempo.

To break that down further, we like to play faster and GT likes to play slower. These stats could be skewed a little bit based on the small sample size though.

But this number coupled with their overall FG % tells me they like to slow it down and get good inside the arc looks.

I caught the end of their game against Southern and was immediately impressed by their freshman guard Josh Okogie. Lammers/Campbell could be a pretty good matchup down low as well.

Ben Lammers has 14 by himself in two games. That's ridiculous. That being said it shouldn't be as big of a factor against us since we have a roster of slashers.

Edit: that should read "we don't have a roster of slashers."

Ohio is now favored by 2. Georgia Tech is one of the weakest teams in ACC this year, probably the weakest. They were actually picked 14 out of 15 teams in the ACC preseason basketball poll. Ohio should win tonight.

Looking forward to tonight's game... We will see if we are deserving of Elton's poll points or, just wishful thinking on his part.

This looks like a great test for Tony in that GT's big man Lammers is pretty skilled defensively. If he can score on him down low, I would have to imagine that he's jumped the first hurdle to being considered draft worthy.

I am also very curious to see who we put on their guards defensively. Their best driver (Jackson) is 6'2" and 210 or so... Can Rodney stay in front of him? Or better yet, get a block early to shake his confidence? (No doubt wishful thinking on my part but hey, dare to dream!)

Lastly, has Kenny returned to his MSU shooting percentage from 3 or, will he revert to his numbers from last year?

Go Bobcats!

In the category of "way too early to label a game a must win" I'm going to say that this game is a "must win" IF Ohio wants a chance to play in the Big Dance without having to win the MAC Tourney. I say that knowing that the only real chance of Ohio making the NCAA Tourney is to win the MAC Tourney. But if Ohio winds up being a team on the proverbial "bubble" on Selection Sunday, then this is one game the Committee will look at. In that vein I call this game a "must win" and in that vein only.

I like everybody's confidence but this is going to be tough game. We were pretty confident going in to our first road game last year and got beat pretty badly. Georgia Tech has size and athleticism. We are going to have to play really well to beat them on the road.

I'm showing line is up to Ohio -3.5. That's crazy movement.
