yep
Not many places I go that folks don't know who I am but I am always happy to meet new faces and Bobcat fans. I have been blessed over the years to talk to really awesome folks in many gyms from Tulsa to Delaware. Glad to meet you guys....hope to see you again. You scored some great seats and represented well.....how far were you from the lady calling Block bad names?

Those Bobbles were a hot commodity. On the Bugs board there were a few folks lamenting the give away. I am one of those confound OU fans Grandma was pissed at....but like her...I saw Nate play and wanted one so ....get there earlier ya old biddy

A very nice lady (no doubt due to us having our 1 year old with us) saw that we didn't have a bobble head on our way out and offered to give us one of hers. Her entire family had them, and she gave one up for us. Major props to her for that. I was pretty upset to see how many people had stacks of 4 or 5 of them. I realize that every ticket holder was entitled to one, but really people, did you NEED to take home 4 of them? My grandma was pretty upset she didn't get one either; especially since she saw a ton of OU fans that had them.

Yes, nice to meet you as well and we will see yo again...We got lucky with the seats, went to ticket office at 2:50 and asked for best available. I was able to go in get the bobblehead, and bring it back to the car.
That lady was about 4 rows behind us. They were something, still yelling at the refs when the game was out of reach with 5 minutes left.

Just as a lark, sometimes I like to create fake headlines. This thread inspired this one.

So did anyone catch Russ, following a nice play by Culver, say "he wanted to walk to the waffle house last night...I had to explain to him that it looks close but it's over a mile away and it's cold out there." I died laughing at that footnote. That's all.

I did catch that. Of course my immediate thought was "it's only a mile, that's not a long walk".

Hashbrown preference should be a thing on the bios of each player and coach. Or included in game stories:
"Saul Phillips, the third-year head coach who prefers his hashbrowns smothered, covered and chunked, said..."

I raised 4 boys on Waffle House...from Michigan to GA to FL. Mine all go straight for the All American. More interested in the waffle than the HB...and they always give me their Grits.
Brian, I smiled when we came across 33 through Wapak when suddenly out of the blue my wife squealed "Oh Look they have a newspaper!" as she saw the building from the Highway

Wapak - my hometown. We spent several hours over the years in that particular Waffle House.

So - those waffles. Is it "Pee-cans", "Pee-cahns", Peh-cans", or Peh-Cahns"?
However pronounced - they are tasty!!!
After a lifetime of wandering in - my advice is juz bury head in newspaper before ordering and while eating - avoid looking around the diner observing others and getting distracted construing their life stories in your mind. You would prolly be close on a lot....but way off and likely surprised and/or inspired by more than you would think for many.
