I'm hoping for a big day from KK to break out of the recent slump.

KK has hit three 3's, missed only one halfway thru 1st half.

carter is announcing his presence with authority.

Really, everyone is playing well

This is a guaranteed win. BG was already without 2 or 3 guys due to injury, now they have lost 4 more guys, 3 of which were starters. They are roadkill at this point.
If you've ever been to a game at BG you wouldn't have said this. It doesn't matter how good we are or how down they are. It's like Ohio's twilight zone for some reason.

EDIT: I understand all of the things you say point to Ohio victory, and I hope you're right. But history shows that it really doesn't matter who is better.

That said we'll be there pulling for the Cats hoping for the cakewalk :)
I have been to a number of games including THIS ONE. And some of you were worried about this one today??? Half of BG's team is missing for crying out loud. This is a complete mismatch.

They should! They're facing what's essentially a JV team based on what they're up against. One of the football players has already seen the floor.

Said football player had a nice layup on a pick and roll then later drilled 2 FT on a 1+1. Didnt give up any pts on D that i saw.

He has some skills.

Larry Hunter used walk-on football players in 89-90. Went 12-16.

In Southeast Ohio, nothing is given.
Aww...yes....the Jerry Lebold era. I'll never forget Chad Gill looking like he wanted to throw up playing at Rupp Arena that year. That was a fun 12 win team.
BeBold LeBold! Roommate of a good friend of mine from HS. Hugh Grant, mentioned above, was a baller.
LeBold (a fraternity brother of mine) was used to set baseline picks to get Jamerson free for a corner 3. It worked for Jamerson; he hit a lot of 3s. It did not work for the team; we were below .500 that year.

One of my favorite visits was in a group of players who played against jamerson. They all talked about following him as they sprinted through screens to guard him. .....1...2.... Sometimes 3 screen s They all remember the bruises the next day from the Ohio screeners

Roadkill, just as I predicted it would be. How some of you thought Ohio could lose a game with an opponent facing that uphill of a battle is baffling.

Yeah, our years of experience should tell us to expect the expected, always.

In cases like today, yes, always. You could play that matchup 100 times over and Ohio wins all 100 of them. BG was playing with just 5 guys (none of them really any good at that) with 2 walk-ons and 2 football players who practiced one time and were pressed into action. They had 6 scholarship guys including 3 starters either hurt or suspended. It was a complete and total mismatch.

How many games at BG have you been to or watched? Today was the fourth win up there in the last eleven tries.

Good turnout of Ohio supporters at the game yesterday. I'll give BGSU credit for allowing Ohio fans to buy tickets behind the visitors bench. Yes, I know the Stroh Center is usually half full at best, but some ticket offices try to force visiting fans into the most remote corners of a gym.

Was good to see all the Bobcats in NW Ohio yesterday. Talked to a couple of guys from Cleveland who sat mid court 1st row behind the press. Nice to be back in a gym....then to come home and see tO$U get drubbed and unfortunately, Buttdogs get their loss at home. I heard said "3 BG players got their career highs yesterday. 2FB players and unfortunately...Frye" . I looked at him at maybe 142 wet attacking our guys and realized ....like most BG players that get under our skin...we have 3 more years of that. I also realized the PG that is quick and crafty has 3 more as well. I suspect they will be pretty good if he can recruit a big or 2.

I actually thought the seating was curious. If you were looking at the Ohio bench, there was a 4/5/6 seat wide section nearly completely empty. Not sure why they didn't sell those tickets, unless they didn't want the Ohio section to be all together and get too loud. Although I won't complain at all though, teams have been pretty awful to us over the years on ticketing. Looking at you Buffalo/KU/...

That said, the seats directly across the court were very good. And heck of a fun game when shooters are that open & shots are falling. Toledo alumni chapter conveniently was right behind us, which made for a fun game.

I sort of think that's a good thing, we need another BG villain. The little guy was 100% hustle, and got his yesterday. I was surprised to hear that he was chirping with the Ohio bench - but I love it. I think more often than not, when it gets chippy Ohio will get the better end of that sort of thing.

Wonder what he was saying though? Borna did you hear?
"I'm getting my career high while my team is down 28"
"this is BS, your walk-ons are extending the lead"
"man I wish my teammates would guard the shooter"
"I wish I went to your school, mine is windy, cold, and not so good at basketball"
"can we get this over with, I haven't seen snow very much and want to go outside"
"is it a bad thing if a tight end playing their first game for us is the third best player on our team today?"

That 4 seats wide section are considered club seats there. There's actually a railing that ran through the middle of the section we sat in. They are padded seats and have acces to a club area at the top. I think I was sitting next to the only people in that little section. From what he was saying there's a donation requirement to buy tickets there.

I walked up to the ticket window 15 mins before game start - asked for a ticket in sec 116 as low as they could find - and they did. Sat right behind McKinney. Great OHIO turnout.
